Kitchen was dated with its original 1971 cabinets. New maple cabinets were added. New Cambria quartz countertops with Blanco under mount sink. New black appliances and new backsplash.

We deleted an ugly existing corner brick pantry, to create a small and nimble walk-in style pantry. The other hard part to this renovation was retaining as many floor tiles as possible. Luckily the clients had stored away x11 floor tiles in the garage, so we were able to make the island foot print bigger and centralised. The floor tiles were able to be laid seemlessly.

I met the home owner and suggested an extensive remodel to this couple's upscale home. Transitional shaker kitchen with Sequel Quartz on the island top and Calcutta quartz on the perimeter tops. We added some accessories in this kitchen like the spice pullout and a trash recycle topped off with stacked cabinetry to the ceiling with glass uppers with lighting. The appliances are black stainless for a rich look. Center stage are pendant lights that are black and brass combo. The La Cantina door that we added to the dining area brings the outside in during the entire year. A classic beauty.

We revamped this client's kitchen, dining area, pantry and laundry room. The homeowners cook a lot and they like to entertain, so they wanted a cleaner, more open feel. The kitchen felt cluttered, the sink was not convenient, they wanted a bar area, more outlets, smooth flooring and more lighting! We removed all existing finishes and took it down to drywall and the concrete slab and started over. We moved the sink out of the corner, installed ceiling height cabinetry giving them additional storage and all new Vicostone Graphite countertops with a contrasting Summer Drought 2"x8" glass backsplash. The water heater that was originally located between the laundry room and the pantry was moved outside, allowing for more kitchen space. Also, the footprint of the original walk-in laundry room was decreased to a laundry closet with bi-fold doors, allowing for even more kitchen space. Gaining the additional square footage in the kitchen allowed for a 6 1/2' island. The sink was moved to the longer side of the kitchen and a new window was added above the new sink, Recessed lights were added, along with a new light fixture above the kitchen table instantly brightening up this space. New Aberdeen wood floors was laid in the kitchen with new tile in the laundry room. To finish it off, we replaced the cooktop with a smooth electric cooktop and the clients are ready to entertain! Quando le sorelle Vezzosi hanno deciso di Ristrutturare questa Casa rivolgendosi all’Architetto JFD di Milano l’interrogativo è stato subito: come ricavare una seconda camera? Antonella e Annarosa stavano cercando di affittare questa loro casa d’infanzia da ben più di un anno, ma nonostante la posizione fantastica in centro a Empoli, a due passi dalla stazione, e nonostante l’appartamento fosse all’interno di un grazioso complesso di inizio secolo scorso, non riuscivano a trovare persone interessate. Il motivo era la strana distribuzione degli ambienti, con una sola camera enorme, e gli ambienti giorno mal divisi, per una metratura totale però di quasi 70 mq. Dovevamo inventarci la seconda camera e ci siamo riusciti con uno stravolgimento delle stanze che ha visto il bagno spostarsi al centro dell’appartamento, e per nascondere le tubazioni di scarico e areazione si è creata una contro parete in cui abbiamo intarsiato una libreria che è diventata poi la protagonista della ristrutturazione di questo appartamento.
