Our clients hired us to completely renovate and furnish their PEI home — and the results were transformative. Inspired by their natural views and love of entertaining, each space in this PEI home is distinctly original yet part of the collective whole. We used color, patterns, and texture to invite personality into every room: the fish scale tile backsplash mosaic in the kitchen, the custom lighting installation in the dining room, the unique wallpapers in the pantry, powder room and mudroom, and the gorgeous natural stone surfaces in the primary bathroom and family room. We also hand-designed several features in every room, from custom furnishings to storage benches and shelving to unique honeycomb-shaped bar shelves in the basement lounge. The result is a home designed for relaxing, gathering, and enjoying the simple life as a couple.

We opened up the space and added a huge island in Storm Gray with seating on two sides. White shaker style cabinets on the perimeter by Eudora, gray vinyl plank flooring, Opus Pearl tops and the owners found the stunning blue tile themselves.

The Brief These Southwater based clients sought to completely transform their former kitchen and dining room by creating an expansive and open plan kitchen space to enjoy for years to come. The only problem was a dividing wall, that was to be removed as part of their project. In addition, the project brief required a remodel of their utility room, as well as a full lighting improvement and all ancillary works to suit the new kitchen layout and theme. Design Elements Designer Alistair has created this layout to incorporate a large island area, which was a key desirable of the clients. The rest of the cabinetry surrounds this island and has been designed to maximise storage using a combination of full-height cabinetry and wall units. In terms of theme, the clients favoured a particular finish of Dekton, named Trance. Seeking to use this work surface, they then opted for a navy colour to match, with a Porcelain colour chosen to soften the rest of the design. The kitchen cabinetry itself is from British supplier Trend, and is their solid slim painted shaker option, which utilises subtle woodgrain appearance. The design incorporates some nice features at the client’s request, like curved units, glass fronted storage, and pull-out pantry storage. Special Inclusions The renovation also incorporates numerous high-specification appliances. Designer Alistair has specified an array of Neff models, including an integrated dishwasher, full-height fridge, full-height freezer, as well as two Neff Slide & Hide single ovens. Elsewhere a five-burner gas hob has been incorporated, which features an oversized central wok burner. Above, a Neff built-in extractor has been built into furniture. A full lighting improvement has been made to the space, incorporating plinth lighting, new downlights in the ceiling and underneath wall units. The clients requested a splashback behind the hob, which they have chosen in a sparkling navy finish to compliment the overall design. Project Highlight The Acrylic based Dekton work surfaces are an undoubtable highlight of this project, utilised in the blue-veined finish called Trance. Great care has been taken to match joins, especially around the sink and windowsill area. Here a Quooker boiling water tap is also present, chosen in a Chrome finish, and equipped with the Flex pull-out hose. The End Result This project highlights the amazing capabilities of our complete installation option, transforming the former layout into a spacious open-plan area. This kitchen remodel started with updating the appliances and creating a functional flow between one another. From there we updated the space with modern wood gain laminate base and tall cabinetry combined with glossy white wall cabinets. The crisp cabinetry contrast allowed us to infuse some fun creativity with the custom tear drop rich blue backsplash tile. The fun little details wrapped up this kitchen design by softening the modern edges with floating shelving, fun lighting and accents.

In this kitchen renovation project, the client wanted to simplify the layout and update the look of the space. This beautiful rustic multi-finish cabinetry showcases the Dekton and Quartz countertops with two Galley workstations and custom natural hickory floors. The kitchen area has separate spaces designated for cleaning, baking, prepping, cooking and a drink station. A fireplace and spacious chair were also added for the client to relax in while drinking his morning coffee. The designer created a customized organization plan to maximize the space and reduce clutter in the cabinetry tailored to meet the client’s wants and needs.

This renovated kitchen was designed for a family of three, with an eat in kitchen, dedicated beverage center and cooking space. Including a white marble farmhouse sink, a Kitchen Aid range oven, and Whirlpool fridge.

Check out this Modern take on a Shaker Kitchen. Seen here is our Treloy door in Light Grey and Light Teal. A touch of luxury is included in every kitchen featuring the Treloy door, due to the beaded moulding surrounding the centre panel of this smooth shaker door.

For this Hove project designer Aron has combined traditional grey woodgrain furniture with sparkling white quartz work surfaces. The Brief These Hove clients required a modernisation of their kitchen space with some present-day innovations to increase functionality. In terms of style, a fusion of traditional and modern styles was needed, with an in-frame door preferred. The favoured layout was very similar to the previous, as it made the best use of the space available. A flooring improvement was also a key part of the project. Design Elements With the layout remaining quite similar, the most drastic changes to this kitchen were in the style. To achieve the modern and traditional feel, designer Aron has utilised the wood-grained Modern Classic furniture option from British supplier Mereway. It combines the in-frame structure with a traditional wood grain door front, and for this project has been used in a Castle Grey finish with cornice on full-height and wall units. The cabinetry and joinery used for this project has been handmade by our British supplier and is equipped with dovetail joinery and oak internals for drawers. A peninsula island was specified as per the previous design, which utilises sparkling quartz work surfaces in a White Attica finish. A tall door in the corner of the kitchen space appears to be extra storage, but in fact opens up to an existing pantry space. Special Inclusions A high-specification of Neff appliances has been used for this project. A Neff Slide & Hide single oven, Neff built-in microwave, Neff flexInduction hob, Neff extractor hood and Neff dishwasher all feature in the kitchen, along with the client's own American fridge freezer. For general use, a mixer tap and under-mounted 1.5 bowl Blanco have been specified, with useful drainer grooves fabricated into the work surface. Another special inclusion was the flooring, which has been improved throughout the entire kitchen and dining area. The chosen finish is a stone effect Karndean option named Grey Riven Slate. A preferred layout has been adhered to, and the theme does really well to combine both the modern and traditional elements required.
