Custom Quonset Huts become artist live/work spaces, aesthetically and functionally bridging a border between industrial and residential zoning in a historic neighborhood. The open space on the main floor is designed to be flexible for artists to pursue their creative path. Upstairs, a living space helps to make creative pursuits in an expensive city more attainable. The two-story buildings were custom-engineered to achieve the height required for the second floor. End walls utilized a combination of traditional stick framing with autoclaved aerated concrete with a stucco finish. Steel doors were custom-built in-house.

Dar una nueva vida a este edificio y convertirlo en una vivienda para estudiantes es la premisa de partida para este proyecto, a partir de ahí, se proyecta una vivienda con 4 dormitorios y grandes zonas comunes en el centro, donde se puedan reunir usos como el salón, el comedor, zona de trabajo y cocina. De este modo, se plantea una casa para una forma de vida muy particular consiguiendo así que la vida social vaya siempre de la mano con la privacidad de cada individuo en su habitación.

Un défi ! Créer un studio complet dans 11m². Utilisé de manière occasionnelle avec mobilier et les matériaux devaient respecter le petit budget ! Organiser l'espace afin de retrouver un maximum de rangement, chaque mètre carrés est essentiel, que dis-je, indispensable ! Un mobilier basique détourné afin de créer des éléments modulaires et multifonctions, des miroirs comme une verrière pour agrandir l'intérieur et donner une sensation de grandeur ! Et pour finir la touche de couleur et de papier peint créant un lieu attrayant et vivant !

La cuisine garde un côté industriel avec un plan de travail stratifié en bois chêne foncé, son évier et robinetterie en métal, et surtout sa crédence en carrelage effet briques, qui est le même que dans la salle d'eau, et un rappel au mur de briques du salon.
