This shaker style kitchen with an opaque lacquer finish shows a "L" shaped layout with an island. Storage space is the main concern in this room. Undeniably, the designer has focused on maximizing the amount of space available by having the cabinets installed up to the ceiling. An entire wall is dedicated to storage and kitchen organization. Glass doors with stainless steel framing bring lightness and refinement while reminding us of the appliances and hood’s finish. This kitchen has an eclectic style, but one that remains sober. The monochromatic color palette allows all components to be well integrated with each other and make this room an interesting and pleasant place to live in. Several classic elements like shaker doors and a "subway" style backsplash are diminished by the industrial aspect that bring the concrete island, the massive stainless steel hood and the black steel stools. Tiled windows remind us of the windows of largeMontreal’s factories in the early 30s, and therefore add to the more industrial look. The central element and a major focal point of this kitchen is unquestionably the concrete island. It gives this room a lot of texture and interest while remaining sober and harmonious. Black steel stools contribute to this urban and industrial aspect thanks to their minimalist and quaint design. A white porcelain farmhouse sink is integrated impeccably with the cabinets while remaining discreet. Its specific shape adds character to the kitchen of thisWestmount’s house, built in 1927. Finally, the wood floor just brightens up and warms the atmosphere by creating a sustained contrast with the rest of the kitchen. In the dining room, a gorgeous antique solid wood table is also warming up the space and the upholstered chairs add comfort and contribute to a comfortable and welcoming ambience.

A beautiful project we did in Croydon with some translucent blinds and sheer curtains. The white blind with black bottom bar went really well with their industrial styled home.

Part of a massive open planned area which includes Dinning, Lounge,Kitchen and butlers pantry. Polished concrete through out with exposed steel and Timber beams.

This project was a long labor of love. The clients adored this eclectic farm home from the moment they first opened the front door. They knew immediately as well that they would be making many careful changes to honor the integrity of its old architecture. The original part of the home is a log cabin built in the 1700’s. Several additions had been added over time. The dark, inefficient kitchen that was in place would not serve their lifestyle of entertaining and love of cooking well at all. Their wish list included large pro style appliances, lots of visible storage for collections of plates, silverware, and cookware, and a magazine-worthy end result in terms of aesthetics. After over two years into the design process with a wonderful plan in hand, construction began. Contractors experienced in historic preservation were an important part of the project. Local artisans were chosen for their expertise in metal work for one-of-a-kind pieces designed for this kitchen – pot rack, base for the antique butcher block, freestanding shelves, and wall shelves. Floor tile was hand chipped for an aged effect. Old barn wood planks and beams were used to create the ceiling. Local furniture makers were selected for their abilities to hand plane and hand finish custom antique reproduction pieces that became the island and armoire pantry. An additional cabinetry company manufactured the transitional style perimeter cabinetry. Three different edge details grace the thick marble tops which had to be scribed carefully to the stone wall. Cable lighting and lamps made from old concrete pillars were incorporated. The restored stone wall serves as a magnificent backdrop for the eye- catching hood and 60” range. Extra dishwasher and refrigerator drawers, an extra-large fireclay apron sink along with many accessories enhance the functionality of this two cook kitchen. The fabulous style and fun-loving personalities of the clients shine through in this wonderful kitchen. If you don’t believe us, “swing” through sometime and see for yourself! Custom Countertops For the countertops we chose a cost-effective quality quartz by MSI-Surfaces called Q Quartz. Normally, Cambria is my go-to but for the marble look. However, we can get Q Quartz in for a $1000 less per slab, which is a great price point for a renovation like this one. The only drawback is you do not have the lifetime warranty that comes with Cambria countertops. MSI-Surfaces are a trusted company that we have worked with for years. Their countertops have the look and durability that are always a winner when we need to stay in our budget. For the backsplash we chose Daltile Rittenhouse Square in an Arctic White. The glossy finish and dramatic look of the quartz brings an incredible crisp and clean look to the whole kitchen.

During the planning phase we undertook a fairly major Value Engineering of the design to ensure that the project would be completed within the clients budget. The client identified a ‘Fords Garage’ style that they wanted to incorporate. They wanted an open, industrial feel, however, we wanted to ensure that the property felt more like a welcoming, home environment; not a commercial space. A Fords Garage typically has exposed beams, ductwork, lighting, conduits, etc. But this extent of an Industrial style is not ‘homely’. So we incorporated tongue and groove ceilings with beams, concrete colored tiled floors, and industrial style lighting fixtures. During construction the client designed the courtyard, which involved a large permit revision and we went through the full planning process to add that scope of work. The finished project is a gorgeous blend of industrial and contemporary home style.

Renowned Cabinets When you hire Renowned Renovation you can rest assured that your cabinets are going to be a highlight. Our custom-built Renowned Cabinetry are hand-built and assembled in PA by skilled craftsman. These cabinets are hand-sanded twice and factory-finished. This means they are painted in a sealed factory setting. When they’re delivered to be installed there’s no odor or finishing that needs to be done onsite. The best past is that there’s no formaldehyde in the finishing. Plus, they come in any style, from tradition to modern styles. The cabinet color we selected for the mid-rise condo was Benjamin Moore Chalk with shaker style doors and drawers. We installed soft-close drawer glides and door hinges, and under-cabinet LED-puck lighting. The additional upgrades included a cutlery divider, spice pull, a magic corner (which is a storage cabinet) and docking drawer. These are all the amenities of the ideal modern kitchen, including a double-waste pull-out drawer for trash and recycling. Our signature cabinets exemplify the finishing touches Renowned Renovation brings to all of our jobs.

A beautifully calming classic Shaker Kitchen sitting in a wing of a grand grade 2 period conversion with an illustrious history. The open-plan industrial feel flat is filled with traditional features; a Belfast sink, antique brass rails, hanging pots and utensils with classic burnished brass pulls bringing a classic feel to the modern space.

This modern transitional home boasts an elegant kitchen that looks onto a large informal living room and shares space with the dining room and butler's pantry. Senior designer, Ayca, selected design elements that flow throughout the entire space to create a dynamic kitchen. The result is a perfect mix of industrial and organic materials, including a leathered quartzite countertop for the island with an unusual single-sided waterfall edge. The honed soapstone perimeter countertops complement the marble fireplace of the living room. A custom zinc vent hood, burnished brass mesh cabinet fronts, and leather finish slabs contrast against the dark wood floors, ceiling, and upper beams. Organic elements of the dining room chandelier and grey-white walls add softness to space when combined with the influence of crisp natural light. A chic color palette of warm neutrals, greys, blacks, and hints of metallics seep from the open-facing kitchen into the neighboring rooms, creating a design that is striking, modern, and cohesive.
