With ample storage in the kitchen island and upper cabinets, we were able to keep the design low-maintenance and easy to keep clean, as clutter would have taken away from the light and airy aesthetic. A light gray kitchen island and subway tile backsplash paired with the bright white countertops and cabinets gave the space a refreshing contemporary look. Darker gray contrasts with the lighter color palette through the stainless steel appliances and unique pendant lights. To the corner of the kitchen, you'll find a discreet built-in study. Fully equipped for those who work from home or for the children to finish school projects. This small office-kitchen space duo is perfect for bringing the whole family together, for meals and throughout the day. From little things, big things grow. This project originated with a request for a custom sofa. It evolved into decorating and furnishing the entire lower floor of an urban apartment. The distinctive building featured industrial origins and exposed metal framed ceilings. Part of our brief was to address the unfinished look of the ceiling, while retaining the soaring height. The solution was to box out the trimmers between each beam, strengthening the visual impact of the ceiling without detracting from the industrial look or ceiling height. We also enclosed the void space under the stairs to create valuable storage and completed a full repaint to round out the building works. A textured stone paint in a contrasting colour was applied to the external brick walls to soften the industrial vibe. Floor rugs and window treatments added layers of texture and visual warmth. Custom designed bookshelves were created to fill the double height wall in the lounge room. With the success of the living areas, a kitchen renovation closely followed, with a brief to modernise and consider functionality. Keeping the same footprint, we extended the breakfast bar slightly and exchanged cupboards for drawers to increase storage capacity and ease of access. During the kitchen refurbishment, the scope was again extended to include a redesign of the bathrooms, laundry and powder room.

The Naekel’s have a beautiful 1911 home with the typical closed in kitchen for that era. We opening up the wall to the dining room with a new structural beam, added a half bath for the main floor and went to work on a gorgeous kitchen that was mix of a period look with modern flair touches to give them an open floor plan, perfect for entertaining and gourmet cooking.

This character villa required a modern kitchen, bathroom and laundry. Concrete floor tiles teamed up with chunky timber and textured whites to provide a memorable, industrial style.

Contemporary open plan kitchen / living room belonging to the new penthouse structure that sits on top of the Grade II listed Brewery building, Lewes.

From small and dark to bright and airy. Extending the space into the living area gave the once gloomy space place to breathe. By keeping upper cabinets to a minimum and adding shelves, the kitchen was made to appear much larger than it previously was. For extra storage, We filled the fridge wall with floor to ceiling cabinetry. By keeping the design simple, it made the industrial feel of the condo stand out.

STREAMLINED Dispensing with a dropped soffit allowed room for floor-to-ceiling cabinets to house refrigerator and ovens- microwave, convection and warming drawers. Chrome pulls of various sizes, coincidentally named Mason Pulls, are suited to the functions they serve. The largest ones, which reflect the refrigerator and oven handles, open the dishwasher and pull-out trash bin. Base and wall cabinets are carefully sized to create a flowing rhythm of heights and widths on the long wall of the Kitchen. For an air of authenticity, push button switches in chrome wall plates on glass tile backsplash operate undercabinet task lights and the garbage disposal. Signature blue-green backsplash tile used throughout the house in wet locations accents the party wall that separates this rowhouse from its adjacent neighbor.
