The Foundry is a locally owned and operated nonprofit company, We were privileged to work with them in finishing the Coffee and Bar Space. With specific design and functions, we helped create a workable space with function and design.

This home bar was created as a plaster volume, helping define both the living room and billiards areas. The cool white of the exterior plaster finish gives way to warm, rich leather-tiled walls at the interior. Custom-fabricated brass-strip trim edges the leather, creating a strategic "reveal" between adjacent materials. In tribute to the house's "Western Ranch" heritage, desert mesquite wood was used in end-grain mode to create the curved countertop. Stunning home bar with unique light column, gemstone counter top, glass door cabinetry, two level counter-top, fancy bar stools. Opens to dining area, living room area. We built a curved plaster soffit to mimic the curve of the bar. We placed the wall paper on one section of the sheet rock soffit. Creating the curve takes skill and precision. Custom pullouts for alcohol.

The Bar is the perfect bar set up with Black Storm onyx countertops and marble floors, a commercial humidor, a smoke extraction system, a large sitting area for watching sports and an outsized banquet. The walls are paneled or have a hand painted foil wall covering.

The wood is a flat-cut walnut, run horizontally. The bar was redesigned in the same wood with onyx countertops. The open shelves are embedded with LED lighting. We also designed a custom walnut display unit for the clients books and collectibles as well as four cocktail table /ottomans that can easily be rearranged to allow for the recliners. New dark wood floors were installed and a custom wool and silk area rug was designed that ties all the pieces together. We designed a new coffered ceiling with lighting in each bay. And built out the fireplace with dimensional tile to the ceiling. The color scheme was kept intentionally monochromatic to show off the different textures with the only color being touches of blue in the pillows and accessories to pick up the art glass.
