Mountain Peek is a custom residence located within the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana. The layout of the home was heavily influenced by the site. Instead of building up vertically the floor plan reaches out horizontally with slight elevations between different spaces. This allowed for beautiful views from every space and also gave us the ability to play with roof heights for each individual space. Natural stone and rustic wood are accented by steal beams and metal work throughout the home. (photos by Whitney Kamman)

This custom color dry bar sits to the side of the kitchen in the family room/gathering area so that anyone could easily grab some ice and a drink as they relax!

Northern Michigan summers are best spent on the water. The family can now soak up the best time of the year in their wholly remodeled home on the shore of Lake Charlevoix. This beachfront infinity retreat offers unobstructed waterfront views from the living room thanks to a luxurious nano door. The wall of glass panes opens end to end to expose the glistening lake and an entrance to the porch. There, you are greeted by a stunning infinity edge pool, an outdoor kitchen, and award-winning landscaping completed by Drost Landscape. Inside, the home showcases Birchwood craftsmanship throughout. Our family of skilled carpenters built custom tongue and groove siding to adorn the walls. The one of a kind details don’t stop there. The basement displays a nine-foot fireplace designed and built specifically for the home to keep the family warm on chilly Northern Michigan evenings. A complete kitchen makeover down to the studs, this project was a blend of french country kitchen styling with a hint of traditional and Industrial. We recreated the entire space for entertaining as well as tons of added cabinet storage space.
