A full renovation of a dated but expansive family home, including bespoke staircase repositioning, entertainment living and bar, updated pool and spa facilities and surroundings and a repositioning and execution of a new sunken dining room to accommodate a formal sitting room.

This large space did not function well for this family of 6. The cabinetry they had did not go to the ceiling and offered very poor storage options. The island that existed was tiny in comparrison to the space. By taking the cabinets to the ceiling, enlarging the island and adding large pantry's we were able to achieve the storage needed. Then the fun began, all of the decorative details that make this space so stunning. Beautiful tile for the backsplash and a custom metal hood. Lighting and hardware to complement the hood. Then, the vintage runner and natural wood elements to make the space feel more homey.

Classic elegance with a fresh face characterizes this stunner, adorned in Benjamin Moore’s pale green “Vale Mist”. For a serene, cohesive look, the beadboard and casings are painted to match. Counters and backsplashes are subtly-veined Himalayan Marble. Flat panel inset cabinetry was enhanced with a delicate ogee profile and graceful bracket feet. Oak floors were artfully stenciled to form a diamond pattern with intersecting dots. Brushed brass fixtures and hardware lend old-world appeal with a stylish flourish. Balancing the formality are casual rattan bistro stools and dining chairs. A metal-rimmed glass tabletop allows full view of the curvaceous walnut pedestal. Tucked into the narrow end of the kitchen is a cozy desk. Its walnut top warms the space, while mullion glass doors contribute openness. Preventing claustrophobia is a frosted wheel-style oculus window to boost light and depth. A bold statement is made for the small hutch, where a neutral animal print wallpaper is paired with Benjamin Moore’s ruby-red semi-gloss “My Valentine” paint on cabinetry and trim. Glass doors display serving pieces. Juxtaposed against the saturated hue is the pop of a white marble counter and contemporary acrylic handles. What could have been a drab niche is now a jewel box! Bright, fresh and loaded with detail. This 1990’s kitchen has undergone a great transformation. The newly remodeled kitchen features beautiful maple Bridgeport Recessed Brookhaven cabinetry in an opaque Nordic White finish with Bridgeport recessed door style. The cabinets are stacked with glass uppers to the ceiling and topped with gorgeous crown molding. LED lighting was installed inside the cabinets to illuminate displayed glassware all the way around the perimeter. The white cabinets and granite Super White countertops are accented with a large scale gray subway tile backsplash. A large walk in pantry was also created. A wet bar with a custom wine rack and wine fridge just outside the kitchen in the dining and living area gives guest a gathering place out of cook’s way. The mudroom/laundry room is directly off the kitchen and was reconfigured with a new, more functional layout and also features new Brookhaven cabinetry in fresh white. The entry area has new custom built cubbies for additional storage. A full size ironing board was installed and is perfectly concealed inside a pull out cabinet for great space efficiency and convenience. Kitchen and Laundry Room Renovation, Jeff Garland Photography

This butler pantry received a makeover with new paint, tile and hardware. Along with new light sconces and all new color scheme.
