The worn black lacquer on the frames and top extended surface of this table is original but the six deep drawers have been finished in a new distressed blue, giving a slightly more contemporary feel. The table originates from Shanxi province, circa 1880 and would make a great console in a modern reception room, with plenty of storage space in the drawers. Beautifully complemented with a set of four Toraja Carved Panels

Reclaimed ‘barre montpelier’ pavers by Architectural Stone Decor.

The ancient ‘barre montpelier’ stone pavers have been reclaimed from different locations across the Mediterranean making them timeless and unique in their earth tone color mixtures and patinas, adding serenity and beauty to your home.
Their durable nature makes them an excellent choice whether used as flooring or wall cladding in indoor and outdoor applications. They are unaffected by extreme climate and easily withstand heavy use due to the nature of their resilient and rough molecular structure.
They have been calibrated to 5/8” in thickness to ease installation of modern use. They come in random sizes and could be installed in either a running bond formation or a random ‘Versailles’ pattern.

An old console was lacquered with Fine Paints Of Europe. Topped with glass art work and glass votives, this foyer space boasts several shades of gray.
Shimu Oriental Furniture
This unusual, rustic console table originates from Henan province in central China, circa 1880 and dates from the end of the 19th century. It is made from elm wood, stripped back to the wood's natural colour to show all the cracks, crevices and weathered character of the material. The long, thick plank top is made from a single piece of wood and sits over slightly spayed legs, supported with long, irregular stretchers. Styled here with beautiful carved wall panels and oriental accessories.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and striking pillars dominate the
lounge area on the ground floor which generously opens
up to the outside. The architect was inspired by the work
of Le Corbusier and thus created a flowing, intermingling
room arrangement. The numerous comfortable seating
possibilities are inviting and communicative: this is where
several people come together or where more discreet
meetings take place. The water landscape outside is refreshing and is part of the ingenious climate concept the
building is based on. Photo: Kuo-Min Lee
