Refurbishment of a Grade II* Listed Country house with outbuildings in the Cotswolds. The property dates from the 17th Century and was extended in the 1920s by the noted Cotswold Architect Detmar Blow. The works involved significant repairs and restoration to the stone roof, detailing and metal windows, as well as general restoration throughout the interior of the property to bring it up to modern living standards. A new heating system was provided for the whole site, along with new bathrooms, playroom room and bespoke joinery. A new, large garden room extension was added to the rear of the property which provides an open-plan kitchen and dining space, opening out onto garden terraces.

The warmth of the Walnut Butcher Block sets the scene for gathering and also for long baking sessions. The Silestone Quartz countertop around the perimeter makes it for easy clean up - especially around the range area. That heavy cooking zone features a custom PPKD built wood hood with all the detailing in the crown molding. The glass hutch serves as a perfect every day dish cabinet, while glass on the range wall also helps to lighten up the heavy load. The Farmhouse sink provides a beautiful clean-up station with the bridge faucet to add beauty and tradition. The purifier is strategically set up near the coffee station for early morning risers. The refrigerator is built into an old walkway that was under-used and it provides the perfect spot to house a hard working appliance. The dishwasher is paneled and tucked away beside the sink while the double pull-out trash is also camoflauged adjacent to the sink. Designed in conjunction with Vinyet Architecture for homeowners who love the outdoors, this custom home flows smoothly from inside to outside with large doors that extends the living area out to a covered porch, hugging an oak tree. It also has a front porch and a covered path leading from the garage to the mud room and side entry. The two car garage features unique designs made to look more like a historic carriage home. The garage is directly linked to the master bedroom and bonus room. The interior has many high end details and features walnut flooring, built-in shelving units and an open cottage style kitchen dressed in ship lap siding and luxury appliances. We worked with Krystine Edwards Design on the interiors and incorporated products from Ferguson, Victoria + Albert, Landrum Tables, Circa Lighting

We wanted to design a kitchen that would be sympathetic to the original features of our client's Georgian townhouse while at the same time function as the focal point for a busy household. The brief was to design a light, unfussy and elegant kitchen to lessen the effects of the slightly low-ceilinged room. Jack Trench Ltd responded to this by designing a hand-painted kitchen with echoes of an 18th century Georgian farmhouse using a light Oak and finishing with a palette of heritage yellow.
