This 120 year old one room stone cabin features real rock walls and fireplace in a simple rectangle with real handscraped exposed beams. Old concrete floor, from who knows when? The stainless steel kitchen is new, everything is under counter, there are no upper cabinets at all. Antique butcher block sits on stainless steel cabinet, and an old tire chain found on the old farm is the hanger for the cooking utensils. Concrete counters and sink. In the heart of Tuscany, in the countryside surrounding Florence, an old and finely restored farmhouse holds the latest project by Officine Gullo. The project results from the collaboration with the architects Carlo Ludovico Poccianti, Francesca Garagnani and Carlo De Pinto, owners of the well-known Florentine architects’ office Archflorence. This creation, which by no coincidence is named Chianti Red & Burnished Brass, fits into a kitchen with warm tones, characterized by high durmast wooden beamed ceilings, old brick arches and traditional tile floor. A unique and unmistakable style able to combine, in an impeccable way, the classical charm of forms, with an ancient style, and the more modern and elegant technologies available in your kitchen. It results in the pleasant feeling of living luxury and beauty in a place where any detail derives from research and handicraft manufacturing and where cooking tools are perfectly linked to those of a professional kitchen for top-quality catering. This project consists of a cooktop with remarkable dimensions (cm 308 x 70) characterized by a highly thick top made of brushed steel and equipped with a pasta cooker, 4 highly performant gas burners, smooth frytop with gloss finishing, and a sink with a mixer made of burnished brass. The cooking appliance completes, in the lower part, with two big dimension ovens, a food warmer together with a container with a door and drawers. In the middle of the room an island is located, embellished by an elegant and practical 9.6 cm thick wooden top equipped with drawers, pull-out elements and doors. Above the island, there is a practical shelf holding pots made of burnished brass. This place is embellished also by an enclosing woodwork wall with a grey finishing: inside, the refrigerator with the freezer stands out equipped with a “home dialog” and a flap made of brass on the door protecting the control panel, and a built-in microwave oven. The structure of the kitchen is made of stainless steel, highly thick, stove enamelled, with profiles and details made of brushed brass and wooden handles. Like any creation by Officine Gullo, it is possible to fully customize the composition of the cooking appliances, from their dimensions to the composition of the hob, up to the engraving of handles or to colours.

La cucina esistente in buone condizioni, è stata rinfrescata semplicemente sostituendo il vecchio piano top nero con uno in legno chiaro che prolungato, diventa angolo snack-bar. Perché per un italiano doc, soprattutto se all’estero, avere uno spazio dedicato per gustarsi una buona tazza di caffè non ha prezzo! :) Mensole in metallo sottile intervallano le doghe in legno della parete utili per riporre ed esporre.

In Portugal, a luxurious private residence is home to the latest project by Officine Gullo. It’s a dream kitchen, made entirely from the finest materials, such as high-thickness stainless steel for the structure, powder coated in an original Pastel Blue shade. The colour choice is a tribute to one of the best-known decorative arts in Portugal, azulejos, whose bright hues, especially in shades of blue and white, are interspersed with the light ceramic surfaces, sparking ever-changing geometric motifs. The colour occupies centre stage, expertly paired with burnished brass finishes, such as trims, handles and details. The burnishing, conducted strictly by the skilled hands of the company’s craftspeople, bestows texture on the brass, which acquires characterful contrasts with every passing day. The elegant antique forms are sublimely matched with up-to-the-minute sophisticated kitchen technology. The kitchen comes equipped with the very best professional refrigeration and cooking appliances. One of the company’s goals is the creation of a “home restaurant”, enabling every customer to cook at home in the same way that a chef does at a restaurant. All the cooking elements are capable of professional performance, yet are manufactured according to the principles of household ergonomics for everyday home use with the utmost convenience. Due to their design, non-professional cooks can use all of the available functions. In detail, the project consists of a linear kitchen with striking walls (4 metres), whose upper part vaunts: two steel wall surfaces at the ends, an induction stove, a range with 6 high-performance gas burners, a coup de feu, and a smooth and grooved fry top. The lower part consists of an electric oven and a dishwasher. Above the entire cooking block, a professional extraction hood and an elegant copper pediment graced with the Florentine fleur-de-lis and two practical brass shelves for pots. An island stands at the heart of the kitchen, topped with a refined stone counter and two washbasins with faucets, both entirely in burnished brass. Two dishwashers are nestled in the lower section of the island alongside drawers and storage space. On the shorter side of the island, space has been allocated for stools to encourage quality time together during food preparation. The right side of the kitchen features a signature wall with hand-decorated wooden cornices and masonry, in addition to a set of built-in appliances, including a refrigerator, freezer, microwave oven, blast chiller and a sous-vide machine.
