This traditional shaker style kitchen is a project we completed earlier in the year based in Royston. The bespoke blue handpainted fronts work in tandem with the polished grey quartz, while the wood flooring brings it altogether. This is a very versatile space used for dining and entertaining. This house began as an uninhabitable small 1915 bungalow in the Historic Houston Heights. We planned the revitalization and expansion with our clients over several years while planning and obtaining permits and permissions. The size of the home doubled in size while maintaining the existing footprint plus the addition. The end of the previous version of the home ends at the office off of the kitchen. The entire home was designed with a specific color palette of blues, greens, and various forms of neutrals. The center of the home is the kitchen featuring blue custom designed cabinets with a herringbone mosaic backsplash. The antique wood floors run throughout. The kitchen centers on a large island with the sink, microwave, trash, and storage in it. The pantry is below original windows that could not be moved or replaced per historic guidelines. The kitchen is designed to host many people and be the heart of the home.

This kitchen was 20 years old with stained cabinets and felt dark and heavy. We painted all of the perimeter cabinets a beautiful blue grey and the island is a custom white with black glazing. For the countertops the perimeter is a grey and white quartzite and the island is a leathered black honed granite. The old sink was replaced with a Farmhouse styled white porcelain apron, a new faucet and added a hot/cold water dispenser. The old trash compactor was removed and replaced with a double trash pull-out drawer, a two drawer beverage fridge and ice maker were added as well. For the backspalsh we selected white marble tiles in a hexagon shape and added new geometric pendant lights over the peninsula. We are excited to share our latest project a Modern Farmhouse. Our client loves East Coast style this was fun to create with the best bones we had to just select phenomenal materials to make this space look fantastic! Center stage is this great window with a view of a backyard oasis. The cabinetry is special and unique with doors that you can’t find everywhere. Take a close look at the details!! We blocked out the corner of the kitchen where the subzero refrigerator freezer is located to create a space for the pullout pantries that are located on each side of the ref/freezer. It is a design element but I prefer to cover the dishwasher to have an uninterrupted are that makes the sink a focal point. This kitchen sink is a native trails concrete farm sink which pairs perfectly with the caesarstone rugged concrete countertop. Custom made hood with charred wood that is the perfect accent to a subway tile that has rustic elements. In the center is a 36" wolf range, off to the left finishing out this kitchen is a steam unit. The footprint of the existing kitchen could not change, so additional storage was incorporated in the adjacent dining area.
