Modern Farmhouse Style Kitchen Designed by DLT Interiors-Debbie Travin. Open kitchen spaces with classic gray walls, marble subway backsplash, free standing island with a marble top counter, custom upholstered counter height stools, black and gold kitchen island pendants and high tech stainless steel refrigerator.

Old World European, Country Cottage. Three separate cottages make up this secluded village over looking a private lake in an old German, English, and French stone villa style. Hand scraped arched trusses, wide width random walnut plank flooring, distressed dark stained raised panel cabinetry, and hand carved moldings make these traditional farmhouse cottage buildings look like they have been here for 100s of years. Newly built of old materials, and old traditional building methods, including arched planked doors, leathered stone counter tops, stone entry, wrought iron straps, and metal beam straps. The Lake House is the first, a Tudor style cottage with a slate roof, 2 bedrooms, view filled living room open to the dining area, all overlooking the lake. The Carriage Home fills in when the kids come home to visit, and holds the garage for the whole idyllic village. This cottage features 2 bedrooms with on suite baths, a large open kitchen, and an warm, comfortable and inviting great room. All overlooking the lake. The third structure is the Wheel House, running a real wonderful old water wheel, and features a private suite upstairs, and a work space downstairs. All homes are slightly different in materials and color, including a few with old terra cotta roofing. Project Location: Ojai, California. Project designed by Maraya Interior Design. Every inch of this small kitchen needed to be utilized in a smart and efficient manner. This was achieved by bringing the upper cabinets to the ceiling, adding roll out trays, and maximizing counter space which allows for two people to easily enjoy the space together. White glossy subway tiles brings in the natural light to bounce around the room.

This modern farmhouse kitchen has painted white cabinets and rift-sawn white oak cabinets on the island.

Stunning....is how this project turned out. We removed the desk area, wet bar behind it, and the powder room to the left of these areas. This allowed for them to not see in the powder room when you walk in the front door and open up the space so the table was not so cramped with the island. The custom made wood distressed shelves, marble back splash that runs up and around the windows connecting this space together. With a hidden chalk board behind a false door to hide all the HVAC pipes running to the second level. Lots of extra efficient storage, with some to spare. The soft brushed gold hardware and the brushed gold faucet mixed with the black metal and wood tones pairs perfectly with the space. The gas oven has 2 ovens but with a squeeze of the door it becomes one big oven ! The crown molding wraps around the entire space creating a bond between the eating space and the kitchen area. Installed 4" can lights, cabinet lighting, decorative lights over the sink and the table. These clients were amazing to work with I enjoyed every second from start to finish.
