Color and copper were first and foremost in the design of this historic farmhouse kitchen. The custom wood hood was painted Benjamin Moore Midnight Oil. Copper banding and rivets were applied to the hood to coordinate with the GE Café appliances in Matte Black with Brushed Copper knobs and handles. Coffee Brown Leathered granite countertops achieve a similar look to soapstone with less maintenance. Custom Roman shades in William Morris Strawberry Thief soften the room and add light control.

A new swing door from the kitchen leads into a large walk‐in pantry. The room was previously a hallway with abandoned exterior doorways. The doors were eliminated and brickwork and walls repaired to create a functional storage annex. The new pantry features adjustable custom shelving, a deep freezer and broom closet. Farmhouse Shaker Kitchen designed and made by Samuel F Walsh. Hand painted in Farrow and Ball French Gray to complement the Blue Pearl granite worktop.

In frame shaker kitchen cabinets in Pippy oak with combination of Skimming stone and Elephants breath. Delicatus Cream granite work surfaces mixed with Pippy oak and painted finishes bring both warmth and light to this kitchen that has very little natural light.

This kitchen used an in-frame design with mainly one painted colour, that being the Farrow & Ball Old White. This was accented with natural oak on the island unit pillars and on the bespoke cooker hood canopy. The Island unit features slide away tray storage on one side with tongue and grove panelling most of the way round. All of the Cupboard internals in this kitchen where clad in a Birch veneer. The main Focus of the kitchen was a Mercury Range Cooker in Blueberry. Above the Mercury cooker was a bespoke hood canopy designed to be at the correct height in a very low ceiling room. The sink and tap where from Franke, the sink being a VBK 720 twin bowl ceramic sink and a Franke Venician tap in chrome. The whole kitchen was topped of in a beautiful granite called Ivory Fantasy in a 30mm thickness with pencil round edge profile.

The butler's pantry also features all Brookhaven cabinets in a Natural finish with Black Glaze. The patter of the same countertop material from the kitchen can really be appreciated in this space. The design allowed for deep drawers for liquor, bar sink and uses a 2-piece crown moulding for the wall cabinets. Wall cabinets all have glass inserts for glassware display.
