Old World European, Country Cottage. Three separate cottages make up this secluded village over looking a private lake in an old German, English, and French stone villa style. Hand scraped arched trusses, wide width random walnut plank flooring, distressed dark stained raised panel cabinetry, and hand carved moldings make these traditional farmhouse cottage buildings look like they have been here for 100s of years. Newly built of old materials, and old traditional building methods, including arched planked doors, leathered stone counter tops, stone entry, wrought iron straps, and metal beam straps. The Lake House is the first, a Tudor style cottage with a slate roof, 2 bedrooms, view filled living room open to the dining area, all overlooking the lake. The Carriage Home fills in when the kids come home to visit, and holds the garage for the whole idyllic village. This cottage features 2 bedrooms with on suite baths, a large open kitchen, and an warm, comfortable and inviting great room. All overlooking the lake. The third structure is the Wheel House, running a real wonderful old water wheel, and features a private suite upstairs, and a work space downstairs. All homes are slightly different in materials and color, including a few with old terra cotta roofing. Project Location: Ojai, California. Project designed by Maraya Interior Design. On either side of the range, we added small awning windows for increased cross-flow and natural light. To the right is a gorgeous Subzero fridge with paneling to match the cabinets. The cabinets were designed by Brilliant Furnishings. Faucets and cabinet hardware are by Waterstone in their "Classic Bronze" finish. Countertops are "Iconic White" Silestone topped with a Thassos marble mosaic backsplash.

The modern farmhouse kitchen has a blue painted island with classic bistro bar stools and a relaxed eat-in dining area. We pulled the blue from the island and incorporated it into the fabrics in the family room. The backyard and pool are easily accessible from the family room door.

Set comfortably in the Northamptonshire countryside, this family home oozes character with the addition of a Westbury Orangery. Transforming the southwest aspect of the building with its two sides of joinery, the orangery has been finished externally in the shade ‘Westbury Grey’. Perfectly complementing the existing window frames and rich Grey colour from the roof tiles. Internally the doors and windows have been painted in the shade ‘Wash White’ to reflect the homeowners light and airy interior style.

We were able to hide supports, vents and plumbing pipes from upstairs in the new walls for the pantry then tucking the refrigerator next to the pantry so that the pantry didn't appear to stick out also keeping the natural flow of the hallway into the space. In the end the room is open and inviting and looks like it was always designed this way. The finishes are bright and luxurious. The calacatta gold marble slabs are the showstopper of this space. We combined the existing kitchen with the dining room and removed a couple of walls to create a more open kitchen space. We also raised the ceiling and installed recessed can lighting throughout. The cabinets were designed by Brilliant Furnishings. Faucets and cabinet hardware are by Waterstone in their "Classic Bronze" finish. Countertops are "Iconic White" Silestone topped with a Thassos marble mosaic backsplash. Trim & Shiplap were sourced from WindsorOne.
