Stunning....is how this project turned out. We removed the desk area, wet bar behind it, and the powder room to the left of these areas. This allowed for them to not see in the powder room when you walk in the front door and open up the space so the table was not so cramped with the island. The custom made wood distressed shelves, marble back splash that runs up and around the windows connecting this space together. With a hidden chalk board behind a false door to hide all the HVAC pipes running to the second level. Lots of extra efficient storage, with some to spare. The soft brushed gold hardware and the brushed gold faucet mixed with the black metal and wood tones pairs perfectly with the space. The gas oven has 2 ovens but with a squeeze of the door it becomes one big oven ! The crown molding wraps around the entire space creating a bond between the eating space and the kitchen area. Installed 4" can lights, cabinet lighting, decorative lights over the sink and the table. These clients were amazing to work with I enjoyed every second from start to finish.

Construction done by Stoltz Installation and Carpentry and humor provided constantly by long-time clients and friends. They did their laundry/mudroom with us and realized soon after the kitchen had to go! We changed from peninsula to an island and the homeowner worked on changing out the golden oak trim as his own side project while the remodel was taking place. We added some painting of the adjacent living room built-ins near the end when they finally agreed it had to be done or they would regret it. A fun coffee bar and and statement backsplash really make this space one of kind.

The farmhouse kitchen design has been popular for years. Who doesn’t love the downhome feel of a rustic and cozy space? This Pennsylvania family’s kitchen exemplifies everything wonderful about this style. Their kitchen has an allure that draws you in and details that invite you to stay. Tearing out the old, outdated cabinets and replacing them with custom updates was the way to go. While they loved the classic farmhouse style, they were seeking a cabinet door design that would stand the test of time. White Shaker on the perimeter cabinets and Colonial Blue cabinetry on the island, making a beautiful distinction from the white perimeter. This 2-story home with inviting front porch includes a 3-car garage and mudroom entry complete with convenient built-in lockers. Stylish hardwood flooring in the foyer extends to the dining room, kitchen, and breakfast area. To the front of the home a formal living room is adjacent to the dining room with elegant tray ceiling and craftsman style wainscoting and chair rail. A butler’s pantry off of the dining area leads to the kitchen and breakfast area. The well-appointed kitchen features quartz countertops with tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances, attractive cabinetry and a spacious pantry. The sunny breakfast area provides access to the deck and back yard via sliding glass doors. The great room is open to the breakfast area and kitchen and includes a gas fireplace featuring stone surround and shiplap detail. Also on the 1st floor is a study with coffered ceiling. The 2nd floor boasts a spacious raised rec room and a convenient laundry room in addition to 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The owner’s suite with tray ceiling in the bedroom, includes a private bathroom with tray ceiling, quartz vanity tops, a freestanding tub, and a 5’ tile shower.

The large window over the sink took some thought as the window placement had to allow for trim, and the trim had to line up perfectly with the beam overhead; so, as to appear seamless. This is a perfect example of the importance of having a design in place before beginning a project. Good design doesn't cost money, it saves you money.

The perimeter kitchen cabinets are painted Revere Pewter from Benjamin Moore, while the island is a custom gray paint/glaze finish.
