Here at our Sharon DR kitchen remodel, the kitchen needed a massive update. We replaced all the cabinets with new white painted shaker cabinetry with features like the desired double stacked cutlery tray that our homeowner loves, a spice pull out next to the range, a revolving lazy susan, double ovens and more. Our client wanted the classic looks of the farmhouse style like a farmhouse sink, accent hood, bronze accents, and subway tile with an accent cement tile. Take a tour, and enjoy!

This remodel required a plan to maintain its original character and charm while updating and modernizing the kitchen. These original custom cabinets on top of the brick backsplash brought so much character to the kitchen, the client did not want to see them go. Revitalized with fresh paint and new hardware, these cabinets received a subtle yet fresh facelift. The peninsula was updated with industrial legs and laminate countertops that match the rest of the kitchen. With the distressed wood floors bringing it all together, this small remodel brought about a big change.

Rich toasted cherry with a light rustic grain that has iconic character and texture. With the Modin Collection, we have raised the bar on luxury vinyl plank. The result is a new standard in resilient flooring. Modin offers true embossed in register texture, a low sheen level, a rigid SPC core, an industry-leading wear layer, and so much more.

The kitchen is a hub for the home. Because we know this, we removed walls in the original kitchen to open it up to the living and dining room. These very social homeowners could not host parties and entertain their friends and family well in the original galley style layout. A love for cooking inspired the design of the wall above the range. The cabinets were built by hand by the previous owner who was a professional carpenter. In the interest of honoring his life, we kept the boxes and reconfigured the layout while adding some new custom touches that look like they were always there.

This newly constructed home offers an expansive floor plan with spectacular views of the countryside through the many windows seen throughout the home. The foyer commands particular attention with its floating staircase and exquisite polished porcelain flooring. Continuing into the living area, wide-planked, antiqued maple flooring grounds the room, while custom Norwalk and Fairfield furniture sits atop Karastan rugs. The kitchen is a chef’s dream come true with ample room to cook and entertain among the custom cabinets. Chisel-edge porcelain tile was installed in a random pattern, perfectly complimenting the Ash Gold granite countertops and tumbled travertine backsplash. The master suite allows for a relaxing retreat with calming colors seen in the bedding, custom silk drapery, and cozy, hand-knotted Kalaty rug. Stepping into the master bath, the porcelain tile, soaker tub, and custom tiled shower create a peaceful oasis. Kim Johnson, Interior Designer, enjoyed helping her clients select products from a variety of vendors to create a beautiful new home for this family. Quando le sorelle Vezzosi hanno deciso di Ristrutturare questa Casa rivolgendosi all’Architetto JFD di Milano l’interrogativo è stato subito: come ricavare una seconda camera? Antonella e Annarosa stavano cercando di affittare questa loro casa d’infanzia da ben più di un anno, ma nonostante la posizione fantastica in centro a Empoli, a due passi dalla stazione, e nonostante l’appartamento fosse all’interno di un grazioso complesso di inizio secolo scorso, non riuscivano a trovare persone interessate. Il motivo era la strana distribuzione degli ambienti, con una sola camera enorme, e gli ambienti giorno mal divisi, per una metratura totale però di quasi 70 mq. Dovevamo inventarci la seconda camera e ci siamo riusciti con uno stravolgimento delle stanze che ha visto il bagno spostarsi al centro dell’appartamento, e per nascondere le tubazioni di scarico e areazione si è creata una contro parete in cui abbiamo intarsiato una libreria che è diventata poi la protagonista della ristrutturazione di questo appartamento.
