"Vous voulez du thé?!" m'a dit Eliane? Il s'agissait plutôt de refaire toute la cuisine et de créer un nouveau coin bureau dans l'espace salon. Mais ce thé, j'aurais bien envie de le prendre, maintenant, dans ce nouvel environnement. Une cuisine agrandie et complètement ouverte sur le séjour. Un coin bureau dans la véranda, jouissant d'une belle lumière zénithale. Ça donne envie de s'y installer!

This Transitional Farmhouse Kitchen was completely remodeled and the home is nestled on the border of Pasadena and South Pasadena. Our goal was to keep the original charm of our client’s home while updating the kitchen in a way that was fresh and current. Our design inspiration began with a deep green soapstone counter top paired with creamy white cabinetry. Carrera marble subway tile for the backsplash is a luxurious splurge and adds classic elegance to the space. The stainless steel appliances and sink create a more transitional feel, while the shaker style cabinetry doors and schoolhouse light fixture are in keeping with the original style of the home. Tile flooring resembling concrete is clean and simple and seeded glass in the upper cabinet doors help make the space feel open and light. This kitchen has a hidden microwave and custom range hood design, as well as a new pantry area, for added storage. The pantry area features an appliance garage and deep-set counter top for multi-purpose use. These features add value to this small space. The finishing touches are polished nickel cabinet hardware, which add a vintage look and the cafe curtains are the handiwork of the homeowner. This farmhouse style kitchen remodel is filled with unique and striking features including exposed wood beams, a curved brick nook for the range with a copper backsplash, light green cabinetry and black granite countertops and a terra cotta tile floor.

For the kitchen we carefully selected contemporary farmhouse elements like the pharmacy sink, the wool tile floors, the glass mosaic backsplash and the cocoa granite countertops. We used white shaker cabinets with glass doors and bronze knobs. We integrated the kitchen into the dinning and living area by removing a wall, achieving a more spacious feeling.

Because of the gorgeous variation of our Patina glaze, you can use just this one color and end up with a backsplash that is just as interesting as if you used 5 colors. Die alten Küchenmöbel bekamen einen neuen Anstrich und die gesamte Wohnung wurde im Nordic-Industrial-Stil eingerichtet. Kleine Apartments mit enormen Dachschrägen zu gestalten ist auch für mich als Expertin immer eine Herausforderung. Bei meiner Kundin stand im Fokus ein Neustart nach einer langen Beziehung, die kurzerhand beendet wurde. der Wunsch nach einer hellen Wohnung mit Stil, Flair und viel Stauraum zu finden und gekonnt zu möblieren war ihr besonders wichtig, um den Neustart in ihrem Leben gut für sich zu meistern. Das lichtdurchflutete Dachgeschossapartment mit großer Dachterrasse wurde von mir in den angesagten Nudetönen und schwarz-grauen Akzenten komplett eingerichtet.
