What a transformation this home built in the late 70's went through to create the picture perfect rustic-yet-elegant farmhouse style. This great room features soaring ceilings, with massive chandeliers to light the space, suspended from wood trusses. An island to accommodate this large entertaining family, anchors the kitchen. A subtle hood projects off the back wall, flanked by sconces and a quartz shelf. The paneled Thermador fridge/freezer mirrors the pantry - part of it as a walk through space to the secret butlers pantry behind the kitchen. The rustic alder island is topped with Taj Mahal quartzite. The bar peeks through in the background.

This beautiful eclectic kitchen brings together the class and simplistic feel of mid century modern with the comfort and natural elements of the farmhouse style. This is a mixture of two styles, at the client's request. The furniture has a Shaker door, with an Edwardian Chamfered frame (and the doors and drawer-fronts set back into the frame accordingly) Painted in Farrow and Ball grey & white 2 tones porcelain tile floor. The worktops are Quartz `White Water`, features to note are the two-tone colours – the Shaker style chimney mantle accommodating large Induction range cooker, circular solid oak breakfast bar on the island, double Belfast sink with Perrin & Rowe Tap and Quooker boiling tap. Note the perfect location of big wide pan drawers either side of range cooker, Bi-Fold Dresser appliance garage in corner hiding the toaster/blender/mixer etc.. Sheerin Cup handles in chrome, drop down a level TV on oak top matching the breakfast bar, socket position on end of island for phone/laptop, feature front of island with oak-fronted spice drawers and wine rack underneath. The kitchen is located at one end of a peaked ceiling space that runs the length of the house. Large wood beams make a rhythm down the space, defining the kitchen, dining room and family room.

Young urban chic, semi-custom kitchen design with an eclectic mix of boho, farmhouse and industrial features and accents! All prefab cabinets mindfully designed to look custom, custom plaster range hood, reclaimed wood floating shelves and accent trim on hood, hammered brass hardware and sconces, Moravian star pendant light, beveled subway tile, Fireclay farm sink, custom drop leaf service cart that doubles as an island table with industrial bar stools, custom wine bar and iron mirror, custom bifold iron and glass French doors and a Turkish rug.

Today’s basements are much more than dark, dingy spaces or rec rooms of years ago. Because homeowners are spending more time in them, basements have evolved into lower-levels with distinctive spaces, complete with stone and marble fireplaces, sitting areas, coffee and wine bars, home theaters, over sized guest suites and bathrooms that rival some of the most luxurious resort accommodations. Gracing the lakeshore of Lake Beulah, this homes lower-level presents a beautiful opening to the deck and offers dynamic lake views. To take advantage of the home’s placement, the homeowner wanted to enhance the lower-level and provide a more rustic feel to match the home’s main level, while making the space more functional for boating equipment and easy access to the pier and lakefront. Jeff Auberger designed a seating area to transform into a theater room with a touch of a button. A hidden screen descends from the ceiling, offering a perfect place to relax after a day on the lake. Our team worked with a local company that supplies reclaimed barn board to add to the decor and finish off the new space. Using salvaged wood from a corn crib located in nearby Delavan, Jeff designed a charming area near the patio door that features two closets behind sliding barn doors and a bench nestled between the closets, providing an ideal spot to hang wet towels and store flip flops after a day of boating. The reclaimed barn board was also incorporated into built-in shelving alongside the fireplace and an accent wall in the updated kitchenette. Lastly the children in this home are fans of the Harry Potter book series, so naturally, there was a Harry Potter themed cupboard under the stairs created. This cozy reading nook features Hogwartz banners and wizarding wands that would amaze any fan of the book series.

Part of the brief for this kitchen was to design around the clients existing Aga. We removed some brickwork and open up the space whist hiding the boiler unit in a cupboard.
