Two walls were taken down to open up the kitchen and to enlarge the dining room by adding the front hallway space to the main area. Powder room and coat closet were relocated from the center of the house to the garage wall. The door to the garage was shifted by 3 feet to extend uninterrupted wall space for kitchen cabinets and to allow for a bigger island.

ホームバーと言うと敷居の高いものを感じるかもしれませんが、お酒を嗜むという環境が家にあるという人は多いのではないのでしょうか。 決まったソファーでお気に入りのお酒を飲む (たまには休日の昼間から？ それもいいでしょう！) これこそ至福のひとときですね。自宅でくつろぎながらお酒を楽しむ空間、ホームバーづくり。バーカウンターや専用キャビネット、ワインセラーがなくても真似できるカントリー風のホームバーのセッティングやアイデアなどをご紹介します。

お手軽なホームバー

ホームパーティーなどでお酒をサーブしたりグラスを返却する場所が決まっていると、準備や片付けもぐっと楽になりますし、ゲストももてなしに満足することでしょう。バーカウンターのある家はもちろんですが、バーカウンターがなくても、インテリアに合わせて、かご、バスケット、木箱などをうまく使ってお酒をディスプレイすれば立派なミニバーに早変わり。キャスター付きのキャビネットがあればつまみなども並べられてより本格的に。カートやワゴンを活用したバーもいいいですね。カントリー風のホームバーを囲んで楽しく家飲みしましょう。

キッチンともダイニングとも違う、お酒を楽しむだけの特別な場所、ホームバー。お酒好きにはたまらない空間です。ビール党なら冷蔵庫やビアサーバーを、もしもワインのコレクターであればワインセラーをと、自分の趣味 (酒味？) 嗜好でカスタマイズできるのも、自分だけのバーを持てる醍醐味です。ビアサーバーやホームバーなどの設備は特殊なのでリフォームや新築前に専門家と相談することをおすすめしますが、カウンターやグラスを並べる棚などはDIYするのもいいですね。そして、仕上げに良質なインテリアや照明でちょっぴり背伸びした大人な演出を。愛着が深まり、常に家に人を招きたくなること間違いなしです。
