The symmetrical front façade sets the tone by contrasting the earthy textures of shake and stone with a collection of crisp white trim that run throughout the home. Wrapping around the rear of this cottage is an expansive covered porch designed for entertaining and enjoying shaded Summer breezes. For the living room, we chose to keep it open and airy. The large fan adds visual interest while all of the furnishings remained neutral. The wall color is Functional Gray from Sherwin Williams. The fireplace was covered in American Clay in order to give it the look of concrete. We had custom benches made out of reclaimed barn wood that flank either side of the fireplace.

We gave this a modern farm house style even though it didn't have the black window bars & black hard ware ect. We added that ourselves in the furnishings. The 2 mirrors that flank the console really helped opening the dining area and added interest by reflecting what was in its view.

Dining and entry open up into the family room with a cedar post to define the spaces.
