in this open floor plan, a half level above the main great room is a true tv room complete with a half moon window from which to see the ocean beyond. walls are painted a lime green and the sectional upholstered in a sky blue. floor is covered in seagrass and furniture is remiscent of the mid century age. rosewood and white lacquer media console bookended by the iconic floor lamp. swivel chair is upholstered in lime green velvet while the cube ottomans are done in a true ageatic blue velvet.

Attenant à la cuisine, un escalier..Voici une pièce à vivre en deux parties. La cuisine (Record è Cucine), réalisée en Fenix (panneau en stratifié) et bois brut, se distingue de la salle à manger par un jeu de couleurs en clair-obscur, inspiré par la végétation environnante. La décoration éclectique associe d’anciennes lampes à pétrole provenant d’un paquebot indien à des créations actuelles. Plan de travail en granit du Zimbabwe et en acier brossé sur l’îlot central. Above a newly constructed triple garage, we created a multifunctional space for a family that likes to entertain, but also spend time together watching movies, sports and playing pool. Having worked with our clients before on a previous project, they gave us free rein to create something they couldn’t have thought of themselves. We planned the space to feel as open as possible, whilst still having individual areas with their own identity and purpose. As this space was going to be predominantly used for entertaining in the evening or for movie watching, we made the room dark and enveloping using Farrow and Ball Studio Green in dead flat finish, wonderful for absorbing light. We then set about creating a lighting plan that offers multiple options for both ambience and practicality, so no matter what the occasion there was a lighting setting to suit. The bar, banquette seat and sofa were all bespoke, specifically designed for this space, which allowed us to have the exact size and cover we wanted. We also designed a restroom and shower room, so that in the future should this space become a guest suite, it already has everything you need. ​ Given that this space was completed just before Christmas, we feel sure it would have been thoroughly enjoyed for entertaining.

Le projet : Un appartement familial de 135m2 des années 80 sans style ni charme, avec une petite cuisine isolée et désuète bénéficie d’une rénovation totale au style affirmé avec une grande cuisine semi ouverte sur le séjour, un véritable espace parental, deux chambres pour les enfants avec salle de bains et bureau indépendant. Notre solution : Nous déposons les cloisons en supprimant une chambre qui était attenante au séjour et ainsi bénéficier d’un grand volume pour la pièce à vivre avec une cuisine semi ouverte de couleur noire, séparée du séjour par des verrières. Une crédence en miroir fumé renforce encore la notion d’espace et une banquette sur mesure permet d’ajouter un coin repas supplémentaire souhaité convivial et simple pour de jeunes enfants. Le salon est entièrement décoré dans les tons bleus turquoise avec une bibliothèque monumentale de la même couleur, prolongée jusqu’à l’entrée grâce à un meuble sur mesure dissimulant entre autre le tableau électrique. Le grand canapé en velours bleu profond configure l’espace salon face à la bibliothèque alors qu’une grande table en verre est entourée de chaises en velours turquoise sur un tapis graphique du même camaïeu. Nous avons condamné l’accès entre la nouvelle cuisine et l’espace nuit placé de l’autre côté d’un mur porteur. Nous avons ainsi un grand espace parental avec une chambre et une salle de bains lumineuses. Un carrelage mural blanc est posé en chevrons, et la salle de bains intégre une grande baignoire double ainsi qu’une douche à l’italienne. Celle-ci bénéficie de lumière en second jour grâce à une verrière placée sur la cloison côté chambre. Nous avons créé un dressing en U, fermé par une porte coulissante de type verrière. Les deux chambres enfants communiquent directement sur une salle de bains aux couleurs douces et au carrelage graphique. L’ancienne cuisine, placée près de l’entrée est aménagée en chambre d’amis-bureau avec un canapé convertible et des rangements astucieux. Le style : L’appartement joue les contrastes et ose la couleur dans les espaces à vivre avec un joli bleu turquoise associé à un noir graphique affirmé sur la cuisine, le carrelage au sol et les verrières. Les espaces nuit jouent d’avantage la sobriété dans des teintes neutres. L’ensemble allie style et simplicité d’usage, en accord avec le mode de vie de cette famille parisienne très active avec de jeunes enfants.

This family room at Deja View Villa, a Caribbean Vacation Rental in St. John USVI is a fantastic multi purpose room! Seven can sleep in this luxurious bunk room that doubles as a family room and media room. It features five Twin XL bunks and one King bunk on the right side. Color is the design theme of this room with the 17' long Italian blue leather sectional sofa, Caribbean blue pool table, orange curtains, Louisiana tongue and groove cypress on the ceiling and lime green walls. This is great room was fun to design because we got the utilize some of the homes original home features such as the plantation shutters and the hidden floral wallpaper in the window sills. This room had access to outside, atrium and walkway to the office.
