Updated this fireplace with added shiplap stained a natural finish to give it a more natural and earthy look. Added greenery to add life and color. Added a large hexagon mirror instead of a mantel piece to let the fireplace stand on it's own.

Designing our clients’ space in Alta Vista, the concept was to accentuate the room’s architectural beauty while infusing pattern and color to pull in the natural splendor of the outdoors. We incorporated bold colors, loved by our clients, pairing them with neutral tones to create balance. Each element packs a punch individually yet allows the eye to cohesively perceive one space. This inviting room emits warmth and comfort for all seasons and entertaining occasions.

They needed book shelves in the nook so I selected these white lacquer shelves and then we designed and installed the custom Italian wallpaper squares into the backside of some of the openings. With the sparkle of the wallpaper and the crushed glass of the wine cooler along with all the lighted art and treasures, it creates a very special place to relax and read. We were thrilled when this returning client called with a new project! This time, they wanted to overhaul their family room, and they wanted it to really represent their style and personal interests, so we took that to heart. Now, this 'grown-up' Star Wars lounge room is the perfect spot for this family to relax and binge-watch their favorite movie franchise. This space was the primary 'hang-out' zone for this family, but it had never been the focus while we tackled other areas like the kitchen and bathrooms over the years. Finally, it was time to overhaul this TV room, and our clients were on board with doing it in a BIG way. We knew from the beginning we wanted this to be a 'themed' space, but we also wanted to make sure it was tasteful and could be altered later if their interests shifted. We had a few challenges in this space, the biggest of which was storage. They had some DIY bookshelf cabinets along the entire TV wall, which were full, so we knew the new design would need to include A LOT of storage. We opted for a combination of closed and open storage for this space. This allowed us to highlight only the collectibles we wanted to draw attention to instead of them getting lost in a wall full of clutter. We also went with custom cabinetry to create a proper home for their audio- visual equipment, complete with speaker wire mesh cabinet fronts.

Originally a bread oven, this alcove was hidden behind a partition wall and used as storage. TG Studio opened up into the living room and introduced a circular roof light and four different shaped windows with yellow tinted glass to create a very large chill out niche/snug. At night LEDs light up these windows so they glow yellow and stand out next to the stone façade. A round window in the ceiling allows further light in. The cushions are by Ferm Living and Tasca. The sidetables are from French Connection.

What an authentic and unique family room and corner study. This completely open space is amazing for both the family to gather as well as having company. Enjoy a sunny afternoon or a rainy Saturday together in this space with great views and bright natural light!
