log cabin mantel wall design Integrated Wall 2255.1 The skilled custom design cabinetmaker can help a small room with a fireplace to feel larger by simplifying details, and by limiting the number of disparate elements employed in the design. A wood storage room, and a general storage area are incorporated on either side of this fireplace, in a manner that expands, rather than interrupts, the limited wall surface. Restrained design makes the most of two storage opportunities, without disrupting the focal area of the room. The mantel is clean and a strong horizontal line helping to expand the visual width of the room. The renovation of this small log cabin was accomplished in collaboration with architect, Bethany Puopolo. A log cabin’s aesthetic requirements are best addressed through simple design motifs. Different styles of log structures suggest different possibilities. The eastern seaboard tradition of dovetailed, square log construction, offers us cabin interiors with a different feel than typically western, round log structures.

Une bibliothèque dessinée sur mesure reprend les codes de l'haussmannien en les détournant de manière contemporaine. Elle intègre une cheminée bioéthanol et deux miroirs coulissants dissimulant une télévision.

Client hired Morse Remodeling to design and construct this newly purchased home with large lot so that they could move their family with young children in. It was a full gut, addition and entire renovation of this 1960's ranch style home. The house is situated in a neighborhood which has seen many whole house upgrades and renovations. The original plan consisted of a living room, family room, and galley kitchen. These were all renovated and combined into one large open great room. A master suite addition was added to the back of the home behind the garage. A full service laundry room was added near the garage with a large walk in pantry near the kitchen. Once the playroom, this room is now the kids’ den—a casual space for them to lounge watching a movie or hang with friends playing video games. Strong black and white geometric patterns on the rug, table, and pillows are paired with a bold feature wall of colorful hexagon paper. The rest of the walls remain white and serve as a clean backdrop to furniture that echoes the strong black, whites, and greens in the room.

Nous devions conserver au maximum l'esprit "vieille maison" (car nos clients sont fans d'ancien et de brocante ) et les allier parfaitement avec les nouveaux travaux. Le plus bel exemple est sans aucun doute la modernisation de la verrière extérieure pour rajouter de la chaleur et de la visibilité à la maison tout en se mariant à l'escalier d'époque.
