The entry foyer sets the tone for the rest of the home. It creates an initial impression and establishes the overall ambiance and style. We included an in-built closet to ensure that the space can remain cutter free, providing a designated space for belongings. We wanted to create a visual impact, by using a feature wallpaper and feature pendant light. The client found the mirror, which really sets the aesthetic tone for the rest of the interior. 30歳代のご夫婦に中古住宅物件探しを依頼され 築40年　敷地面積100坪　建物延べ床面積41坪で さらにガレージ、スキップフロア付きの中古住宅をご紹介させていただいた所、大変気に入っていただきました。 リノベーションをご依頼いただき、打ち合わせを進めていく中でヴィンテージ家具やヴィンテージ照明など楽しく一緒に選びました。 LDKは和室二間とキッチン合わせて3部屋を一つの空間にすることで ゆったりと大きな空間で過ごしたいとの思いを実現させました。ガレージの上がスキップフロアになり、ここを旦那様の書斎（趣味部屋）にしました。壁紙は英国製ハンドメイド壁紙を使用。 奥様がオシャレでたくさんのお洋服をお持ちとの事で一部屋はドレスルームに しました。天井はtiffanyをイメージした色で、写真にはないですが、この後真っ白なクローゼットが壁一面に入りました。寝室は緑色の珪藻土で壁を仕上げ、落ち着いて深く気持ちよく睡眠が取れます。玄関はスウェーデン製を使用しました。

New modern double doors are painted navy to tie in with the accents used throughout the main floor. In addition, the strong colour adds importance to the entry. A hand-crafted bench is equally artistic and functional. The gridwork of the panelled wall is echoed in the geometric navy and white area rug.

Staircase and entryway renovation. Ground-floor private entry for second floor condo. Removed carpet on stairs, sanded off glue and filled holes, added staircase skirting and trim to cover gaps along the sides of the stairs, painted treads with high-durability exterior floor paint, hand-painted new riser boards in Spanish tile designs and coordinating solid colors to cover existing chipboard risers, and applied custom-made vinyl lettering to top riser for a unique welcome home statement piece. Also painted front door and coat closet door, replaced porcelain tile entry flooring with LVP flooring to match upstairs, and replaced door handles to updated nickel finish. Also placed mirror with shelf for keys and gallery-style artwork along staircase wall. Cost of the staircase renovation was approximately equal to the cost to remove stair carpet and install LVP flooring on stairs.

The clients wanted to brighten up the palette and add light while respecting the Craftsman style woodwork and the classic character of the home. They also expressed a desire for eclectic blended with traditional styling. The entryway is light, bright, and welcoming! Materials used: Dark stained wood millwork and trim, Marrakesh blue and white cement floor tile 8 x 8, Sherwin Williams paint for door, walls, ceiling and wall hooks.
