Most older homes had a special entry foyer to hang coats, or leave shoes and umbrellas before entering the living area. One of the previous owners removed the original foyer wall and doorway. The open look wasn't terrible, but looked very cheap, and not well thought out. We felt this little old house needed its special little entryway back. We extended the wall back out to somewhat separate the living room from the entryway, but didn't make the door opening as small as it used to be. Just enough to add separation. After we finished adding the wall back in, it looked nicer not to see the front door, the coat rack, and the entryway table and seating. The hand made iron chandelier was saved from a curbside brush collection! We rescued it, re-wired and hung it in it's deserving location. Here is an architecturally built house from the early 1970's which was brought into the new century during this complete home remodel by opening up the main living space with two small additions off the back of the house creating a seamless exterior wall, dropping the floor to one level throughout, exposing the post an beam supports, creating main level on-suite, den/office space, refurbishing the existing powder room, adding a butlers pantry, creating an over sized kitchen with 17' island, refurbishing the existing bedrooms and creating a new master bedroom floor plan with walk in closet, adding an upstairs bonus room off an existing porch, remodeling the existing guest bathroom, and creating an in-law suite out of the existing workshop and garden tool room.

Classic style 5 foot wide Plastpro double entry doors. Model DRM60 Solhl3 with half lights. Mahogany grain, stained Antique Oak. Copper Creek Heritage Hardware in oil rubbed bronze. Installed in Yorba Linda, CA home.

The Ashby is a modern arched exterior wood door, with an old world flare out of solid medieval walnut. This front entrance door has a classical arch that we have carried through the middle panels as well, making this wood door a rare classic with superior details.

Round top mahogany entry door with custom hand forged wrought iron straps and grill. The small window has a custom stained glass design by Ochoa Stained Glass in Tucson.

These are entry doors for a condo to the public hallway,so there are no harsh elements to deal with. The material is Cherry, The curved mutins are steam bent and the stained glass is double glazed for sound. The pulls are hand carves and the wall is painted by our artists.
