New Moroccan Villa on the Santa Barbara Riviera, overlooking the Pacific ocean and the city. In this terra cotta and deep blue home, we used natural stone mosaics and glass mosaics, along with custom carved stone columns. Every room is colorful with deep, rich colors. In the master bath we used blue stone mosaics on the groin vaulted ceiling of the shower. All the lighting was designed and made in Marrakesh, as were many furniture pieces. The entry black and white columns are also imported from Morocco. We also designed the carved doors and had them made in Marrakesh. Cabinetry doors we designed were carved in Canada. The carved plaster molding were made especially for us, and all was shipped in a large container (just before covid-19 hit the shipping world!) 田舎暮らしに憧れて都会から移住した建主（よそ者）と地域住民との日常的なコミュニケーションを図る場として、この大きな玄関土間を計画した。 この大きな土間にはゆったりとしたベンチが造りつけられ、家の奥まで上がり込む事なく、気兼ねせずに四方山話を楽しむ事が出来る。 採れたての野菜を持ってきた時も、犬の散歩中でも、汚れを気にせずに立ち寄れるし、日曜大工が趣味の建主のちょっとした作業場になる事もある。 吹抜けから射し込む柔らかな光、外部につながる一続きの床、眼前に開けた眺望は内と外との境界を曖昧にし、家の中にいながら外の開放感を感じられる、とても居心地の良い空間となっている。
