A dark living room was transformed into a cosy and inviting relaxing living room. The wooden panels were painted with the client's favourite colour and display their favourite pieces of art. The colour was inspired by the original Delft blue tiles of the fireplace.

DVDs, books, games, and blankets all have a space in this entertainment center that has tons of hidden storage. Panels retract to reveal tv. Shelves slide in and out of cabinets for easier access and storage.

To add more dimension to the living room, we added an accent wall and selected a dark turquoise sofa and purple velour chair from Sofa.com. The mirror and green table are both over 60 years old and were purchased from W & J Sloane. The accent pillows from ABC Carpet & Home. We also added touches of turquoise in the corner table lamp and vases along the window sill. The green tray is designed by John Derian and the beige curtains are from Madura of Paris. To hide unattractive air vents and electrical devices, we used a Japanese screen to cover the condo's heat and air conditioning filter and a Chinese armoire to store a 36" flat screen TV, DVR and cable box. Eclecticismo en estado puro: obras de arte en las paredes de los siglos XVIII, XIX y XX alemanas, junto a esculturas contemporáneas. Un tronco de olivo que mantiene la policromía del mandarín del siglo XI dialoga perfectamente con las maderas de macasar del mueble que esconde la televisión. Este mueble se ha diseñado en el estudio y la televisión surge y desaparece de forma mecánica, para no hacer la vida alrededor de este electrodoméstico. La mesa de comedor está realizada en un solo bloque con pata en madera y acero La mesa baja es de raíz de olmo decorada y las auxiliares son en negro alto brillo. El análisis previo del salón, con semejantes techos altos y un mirador, pedía a gritos un zócalo ligero realizado con molduras lacadas en el mismo color topo que las paredes y el techo y contrasta con el rodapié de 20 cm y los grandes ventanales de suelo a techo, todos ellos en blanco. La continuidad del color en zócalo-pared-techo da solera a la estancia. La gama cromática empleada está formada por beige, topo, naranja quemado y negro. El teletrabajo cobra especial importancia en el día a día. Se escogió una mesa decó muy cómoda para trabajar, pero que podamos ocultar el ordenador o la impresora. De esa manera no hay que prescindir de una habitación, dedicándola exclusivamente a trabajar, y se integra en el salón como lo hace la zona de lectura. Al final es un salón para vivirlo día a día, sin restricciones ni condicionantes. El mueble bar es de cáscara de huevo y está iluminado en su interior, acabado en nácar bronce. Al pasillo se le ha dado el mismo tratamiento con zócalo y con obras de arte y al fondo la doble puerta antigua, de madera y cristal, de la suite principal.
