Vom Durchgangszimmer zum Loungezimmer Ein ruhiges Beige und ein warmes Sonnengelb geben den Grundtenor im Raum. Doch wir wollten mehr als nur eine gewöhnliche Wandgestaltung – etwas Besonderes, Ausgefallenes sollte es sein. Unsere individuelle Raumgestaltung nach Kundenvorlieben erlaubte uns mutig zu werden: Wir entschieden uns für eine helle, freundliche gelbe Wandfarbe, die dem Raum Lebendigkeit verleiht. Um das Ganze jedoch nicht überladen wirken zu lassen, neutralisierten wir dieses lebhafte Gelb mit natürlichen Beigetönen. Ein tiefes Blau setzt dabei beruhigende Akzente und schafft so einen ausgewogenen Kontrast. Auch bei der Auswahl der Pflanzen haben wir besondere Sorgfalt walten lassen: Die bestehende Pflanzensammlung wurde zu einem harmonischen Ensemble zusammengestellt. Hierbei empfahlen wir zwei verschiedene Pflanzenkübel – um Ruhe in die strukturreichen Gewächse zu bringen und ihnen gleichzeitig genug Platz zur Entfaltung ihrer Natürlichkeit bieten können. Diese Natürlichkeit spiegelt sich auch in den Möbeln wider: Helles Holz sorgt für eine authentische Atmosphäre und ruhige Stoffe laden zum Verweilen ein. Ein edles Rattangeflecht bringt abwechslungsreiche Struktur ins Spiel - genau wie unsere Gäste es erwarten dürfen! Damit das Licht optimal zur Geltung kommt, wählten gläserne Leuchten diese tauchen den gesamtem Bereich des Loungeraums in ein helles und freundliches Ambiente. Hier können Sie entspannen, träumen und dem Klang von Schallplatten lauschen – Kraft tanken oder Zeit mit Freunden verbringen. Ein Raum zum Genießen und Erinnern. Wir sind stolz darauf, aus einem ehemaligen Durchgangszimmer eine Lounge geschaffen zu haben - einen Ort der Ruhe und Inspiration für unsere Kunden.

Il fiume Tevere e l'Ara Pacis sono proprio sotto le finestre. / THE PROJECT Our client wanted a town home from where he could enjoy the beautiful Ara Pacis and Tevere view, “purified” from traffic noises and lights. Interior design had to contrast the surrounding ancient landscape, in order to mark a pointbreak from surroundings. We had to completely modify the general floorplan, making space for a large, open living (150 mq, 1.600 sqf). We added a large internal infinity-pool in the middle, completed by a high, thin waterfall from he ceiling: such a demanding work awarded us with a beautifully relaxing hall, where the whisper of water offers space to imagination... The house has an open italian kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. / IL PROGETTO Il nostro cliente desiderava una casa di città, da cui godere della splendida vista di Ara Pacis e Tevere, "purificata" dai rumori e dalle luci del traffico. Il design degli interni doveva contrastare il paesaggio antico circostante, al fine di segnare un punto di rottura con l'esterno. Abbiamo dovuto modificare completamente la planimetria generale, creando spazio per un ampio soggiorno aperto (150 mq, 1.600 mq). Abbiamo aggiunto una grande piscina a sfioro interna, nel mezzo del soggiorno, completata da un'alta e sottile cascata, con un velo d'acqua che scende dolcemente dal soffitto. Un lavoro così impegnativo ci ha premiato con ambienti sorprendentemente rilassanti, dove il sussurro dell'acqua offre spazio all'immaginazione ... Una cucina italiana contemporanea, separata dal soggiorno da una vetrata mobile curva, 2 camere da letto e 3 bagni completano il progetto.

I began working with the owners of this house in 2013. We started with the living and dining rooms. No new furniture was purchased, but the rooms transformed when we changed the wall and ceiling colors, added lighting and light fixtures, rearranged artwork, rugs and furniture. We softened the windows and added privacy with very simple linen Roman blinds. We used the same linen to slipcover the sofa. Early in 2015, we tackled the most difficult room. The relatively small family room has disproportionately high ceilings. We worked to minimize the "elevator shaft" feeling of the room by replacing the previously "wimpy" mantel, surround and hearth with a design and combination of materials that stand up to the height of the room. In addition to treating the two sets of windows stacked at ground level and again at 8' as one tall window, we painted the ceiling chocolate brown which is reflected at floor level by the new rug (Dash and Albert - Nigel) and hearth stone. Сбоку от дивана стена выполнена из декоративной штукатурки, которая реверсом повторяет орнамент центрального акцента помещения. Напротив телевизора выделено много места под журнальный столик, выполненный из теплого дерева и просторный диван изумрудного цвета. Изначально у дивана подразумевалось сделать большой ковер, но из-за большого количества проб, подбор ковра затянулся на большой срок. Однако привезенный дизайнером ковер для фотосъемки настолько вписался в общую картину именно за счет своей текстуры, что было желание непременно оставить такой необычный элемент. Сама комната сочетает яркие и бежевые тона, однако зона кабинета отделена цветовым решением, она в более темных деревянных текстурах. Насыщенный коричневый оттенок пола и потолка отделяет контрастом данную зону и соответствует вкусам хозяина. Рабочее место отгородили прозрачным резным стеллажом. А в дополнение напротив письменного стола стоит еще один стеллаж индивидуального исполнения из глубокого темного дерева, в котором много секций под документы и книги. Зону над компьютером хорошо освещает подвесной светильник, который, как и почти все освещение в доме, соответствует современному стилю.

A transplant from Maryland to New York City, my client wanted a true New York loft-living experience, to honor the history of the Flatiron District but also to make him feel at "home" in his newly adopted city. We replaced all the floors with reclaimed wood, gutted the kitchen and master bathroom and decorated with a mix of vintage and current furnishings leaving a comfortable but open canvas for his growing art collection.

Zona salotto: Soppalco in legno di larice con scala retrattile in ferro e legno. Divani realizzati con materassi in lana. Travi a vista verniciate bianche. La parete in legno di larice chiude la cabina armadio. Sala pranzo con tavolo Santa&Cole e sedie cappellini. Libreria sullo sfondo realizzata con travi in legno da cantiere. Pouf Cappellini.
