In this parallel view of the living room, the essence of calm sophistication prevails. The Mid 19th Century Louis XV Style Calacatta Viola marble fireplace mantel and sculptural 'Triple Block' Model #185 Sconce in the Manner of Pierre Chareau continue to grace the space, infusing it with timeless elegance.

A dark living room was transformed into a cosy and inviting relaxing living room. The wooden panels were painted with the client's favourite colour and display their favourite pieces of art. The colour was inspired by the original Delft blue tiles of the fireplace.

Massimo Interiors was engaged to style the interiors of this contemporary Brighton project, for a professional and polished end-result. When styling, my job is to interpret a client’s brief, and come up with ideas and creative concepts for the shoot. The aim was to keep it inviting and warm. Blessed with a keen eye for aesthetics and details, I was able to successfully capture the best features, angles, and overall atmosphere of this newly built property. With a knack for bringing a shot to life, I enjoy arranging objects, furniture and products to tell a story, what props to add and what to take away. I make sure that the composition is as complete as possible; that includes art, accessories, textiles and that finishing layer. Here, the introduction of soft finishes, textures, gold accents and rich merlot tones, are a welcome juxtaposition to the hard surfaces. Sometimes it can be very different how things read on camera versus how they read in real life. I think a lot of finished projects can often feel bare if you don’t have things like books, textiles, objects, and my absolute favourite, fresh flowers. I am very adept at working closely with photographers to get the right shot, yet I control most of the styling, and let the photographer focus on getting the shot. Despite the intricate logistics behind the scenes, not only on shoot days but also those prep days and return days too, the final photos are a testament to creativity and hard work.

Unique living room that combines modern and minimal approach with eclectic elements that bring character and natural warmth to the space. With its architectural rigor, the space features zellige tile fireplace, soft limewash plaster walls, and luxurious wool area rug to combine raw with refined, old with new, and timeless with a touch of spontaneity. The space features painting by Milly Ristvedt, chairs by De La Espada upholstered in lush forest green velvet and an iconic iron floor lamp by Room Studio, all mixed with a carefully curated array of antique pieces and natural materials including client's collectible sculpture Le Contemplateu by Jean Touret. Our goal was to create an environment that would reflect the client's infinite affection for contemporary art while still being in tune with the Portuguese cultural heritage and the natural landscape the house is set in.

This was a through lounge and has been returned back to two rooms - a lounge and study. The clients have a gorgeously eclectic collection of furniture and art and the project has been to give context to all these items in a warm, inviting, family setting. No dressing required, just come in home and enjoy!

A custom nesting coffee table including six black metal wrapped drums and four brass metal wrapped astroids allow for a large table space or can be moved apart as individual drink tables when entertaining. The custom velvet sofa contrasts beautifully against the dark gray area rug with its clean lines and a unique ruching technique that wraps around the entire front edge, sides and back creating texture and another fun, unexpected element of design. This Edwardian house in Redland has been refurbished from top to bottom. The 1970s decor has been replaced with a contemporary and slightly eclectic design concept. The front living room had to be completely rebuilt as the existing layout included a garage. Wall panelling has been added to the walls and the walls have been painted in Farrow and Ball Studio Green to create a timeless yes mysterious atmosphere. The false ceiling has been removed to reveal the original ceiling pattern which has been painted with gold paint. All sash windows have been replaced with timber double glazed sash windows. An in built media wall complements the wall panelling. The interior design is by Ivywell Interiors.

This living room was all about texture and color. The massive stone fireplace, exposed wood beams and old wide-plank hardwood floors called out for sensual textures and deep, comfortable seating. All I wanted to do was curl up on something comfortable and hang out all day in front of that lovely fireplace and relax, so everything was chosen with that end in mind. Walls were painted in a soft, warm butter color (Philadephia Cream by Benjamin Moore).
