This eclectic kitchen design is packed with decorative and practical features. The custom wide frame Shaker style kitchen cabinets are finished in Benjamin Moore gray owl color, which provides a striking contrast to the dark cherry stained island cabinetry. The cabinets are finished with beautiful details including ice box hinges on selected cabinets and crown molding around the room perimeter. Inside the cabinets is a treasure trove of specialized storage including a pantry with roll out shelves, a peg drawer system for storing plates, a silverware drawer, and more. The stainless chimney hood complements the appliances and an undercounter refrigerator provides beverage storage. The attention to detail and personal touches throughout the space make this a one-of-a-kind kitchen design!

Situated in Denton, Texas these clients sought a personalized home from the ground up. It was important that their eclectic style be evidenced in every facet of the home to reflect their lively personalities. The project scope encompassed the dining, kitchen, breakfast nook, living, master bedroom, and master bathroom. Color, fixtures, furnishings, materials, artwork, and accessories were carefully selected to reflect a collective atmosphere and communicate the common theme of vibrancy. One significant challenge was the husband's fear of color. While he has an outgoing personality he did not want the home to feel loud and obnoxious. Putting him at ease was accomplished by presenting a comprehensive design plan with samples laid out so that he gained a clear understanding of how the home would flow together in harmony. Storage Beyond the Norm!

The maximizing of storage requires thinking outside the box--literally. If you stick with standard 24"-deep cabinets, you lose storage. This kitchen has 30"-deep counters which means the drawers extend 27"! The drawers under the side-by-side cooktops extend 30".Even the drawers in the toe kick extend 3" farther than the main drawers of a standard kitchen. Note that the middle drawer has the tallest face--you do not have to bend down as far to lift the heavier items that typically end up in the deepest drawer. The top drawers in this kitchen are 7-1/2" tall. Many more items will fit into them, as a result. Se crearon dos muretes laterales para separar La Cocina de la Sala, dejando el centro abierto y potenciando el foco de luz natural y la lámpara de suspensión de Kartell que pareciera de cristal, haciendo esa continuidad de materiales y foco. La diferencia entre los ambientes, está marcada principalmente por las baldosas hidráulicas -de aparicci-, que combinan los azules y los beige y que están dispuestas en forma de "T".

キッチンは美味しい食事を作るためには欠かせないスペース。毎日使う場所だからこそ、機能性だけではなくおしゃれさにもこだわりたいものです。ここでは、使い勝手の良さやおしゃれさにこだわったエクレクティックスタイルのコの字型キッチンのリフォーム事例と、コの字型キッチンリフォームのポイントをご紹介します。

コの字型キッチンの改善ポイントを考える

まずは、現在使用しているキッチンを見直してみましょう。調理するスペースが狭い、高さが自分の身長に合っていない、収納スペースが少ないなど、キッチンによってさまざまな改善ポイントが見つかるはずです。こうした改善ポイントをもとに、エクレクティックスタイルのコの字型キッチンのリフォームを検討しましょう。

動線や広さ、レイアウトの見直し

Ⅰ型コの字型キッチン
Ⅰ型コの字型キッチンは最も一般的なレイアウトで、シンク、調理台、コンロ、冷蔵庫が横一線に並んだタイプのコの字型キッチンです。最近では、対面カウンターを付けて背面に収納スペースと冷蔵庫を置くなど、Ⅱ型やアイランド型に似たタイプのレイアウトも人気です。
Ⅱ型コの字型キッチン
Ⅱ型キッチンはシンク、調理台、コンロ、冷蔵庫を2カ所に分け、平行に配置することで調理スペースを広げるレイアウトです。調理の際の動線が短くなるというメリットがあります。
L型コの字型キッチン
L型コの字型キッチンは、シンク、調理台、コンロがL字型に配置されたレイアウトです。ワークトライアングルを作りやすく、動線をコンパクトに抑えることができます。
アイランドコの字型キッチン
アイランドコの字型キッチンは独立型コの字型キッチンとも呼ばれ、シンク、調理台などを壁面から独立させて設置するレイアウトです。調理台を囲むように作業ができるため、家族や友人など複数で楽しみながらキッチンを共有できます。ホームパーティーや料理教室をする際にも便利でしょう。
ペニンシュラコの字型キッチン
ペニンシュラは英語で「半島」を意味します。コの字型キッチンの左右どちらかが壁に接しているレイアウトを指します。調理スペースがオープンになっているため、リビングやダイニングにいる方とコミュニケーションを取りながら調理できるというメリットがあります。

ビルトイン機器の選択

エクレクティックスタイルのコの字型キッチンタイプのレイアウト見直しと同時に、ビルトイン機器も検討されてみてはいかがでしょうか。ビルトイン機器とは、建物や家具、設備などの中に組み込んで利用する機器を指します。システムキッチンには、ビルトインコンロ、レンジフード、オーブンレンジ、食器洗浄乾燥機を組み込むことが可能です。ビルトインであればスタイリッシュにコの字型キッチンに溶け込み、インテリアの邪魔にもなりません。新築やリフォームの際に取り入れることをおすすめします。

ビルトインコンロ
ビルトインコンロには、それぞれ火力の異なるバーナーを組み合わせた3つ口タイプが一般的です。天板素材はガラストップが主流となっていますが、他にガラスコート、フッ素コート、ホーロー、アルミ、ステンレスなどがあります。使い勝手やデザイン、価格などを考慮して選択しましょう。
食器洗浄乾燥機
食器洗浄乾燥機 (食洗機) は手洗いよりも少ない水量できれいに食器を洗浄することができるため、新築やコの字型キッチンのリフォーム時には食洗機の導入をおすすめします。国内製のビルトイン食洗機の場合は引き出し式になっているタイプが多いのに対し、海外製のビルトイン食洗機は前開き式になっているものが一般的です。国内製・海外製それぞれで、設置業者や設置可能なシステムコの字型キッチンが異なる場合があるため注意しましょう。

収納スペースのアイデア

いかにデッドスペースを活かすかがコの字型キッチン収納のコツです。％Topicの収納は限られているため、多くの食器や調理器具、調味料などを片付けるための工夫が必要です。ビルトイン機器も限られたスペースできれいに収納する工夫のひとつといえるでしょう。システムコの字型キッチンの収納スペース以外のキッチン収納スペースとしては、床下収納が代表的です。床下の他に、壁面収納なども人気です。壁面収納の場合、食器や調理器具だけでなくコの字型キッチン家電までも収納し、スタイリッシュで生活感の出ないコの字型キッチンを演出することもできるでしょう。
