A Gilmans Kitchens and Baths - Design Build Project (REMMIES Award Winning Kitchen) The original kitchen lacked counter space and seating for the homeowners and their family and friends. It was important for the homeowners to utilize every inch of usable space for storage, function and entertaining, so many organizational inserts were used in the kitchen design. Bamboo cabinets, cork flooring and neolith countertops were used in the design. Storage Solutions include a spice pull-out, towel pull-out, pantry pull outs and lemans corner cabinets. Bifold lift up cabinets were also used for convenience. Special organizational inserts were used in the Pantry cabinets for maximum organization. Our remodel plans focused on the spaces most important to our clients at this point in their lives, the kitchen and living areas, and the master suite. The original Master Bedroom was very small with a dark bath. By combining two bedrooms, the closets, and the tiny bathroom we were able to create a thoughtful master bath with soaking tub and two walk-in closets. In the kitchen we reworked the existing cabinets and kept the floors after seeing how the color transformed with the new cabinet colors.

Our clients came to us ready for a change. Fraley & Company had worked with their neighbors to update their kitchen a few years back, and we were thrilled for the challenge to work on a very similar kitchen layout. We imposed the challenge on ourselves to make this project completely different from the previous home, while maintaining the character that our newest clients so much appreciated in our previous remodel. Als Tapete kommt eine Designtapete aus England mit aufgedruckten Tellern zum EInsatz. Passende Vorhänge finden sich an den Fenstern. Alte Balken stehen im Kontrast zu einem modernen, weißen Korkfußboden.

charming Sea cliff turn of century victorian needed a renovation that was appropriate to the vintage yet, edgy styling. a textured natural oak farm sink base juxtaposed a soft gray, with the heavy shelves on the wall made this kitchen unique.

Some projects start off in one direction and then change tack. Our clients were looking for something a little more contemporary than a traditional Shaker kitchen, so we originally designed this in our Modern Kitchens range, before switching to the White Kitchen Company’s classic Shaker range, but with flat-fronted drawers to provide a more contemporary look. We love so much about this kitchen, from the two-tone cabinetry and the antique mirror splashback from Rough Old Glass, to the large, feature mantel, with its adjoining shelves, all set against the gorgeous wall paper behind. The adjacent pantry features open pull outs with baskets as well as the ever popular Fisher and Paykel French-style fridge freezer. We again worked closely with Katie Amin, who project managed the works, which were completed using Chris Boyda and his talented sub contractors and the kitchen and pantry themselves were fitted by Lorry Lennard. Stoneworx supplied, fabricated and fitted the Silestone Calacatta Gold quartz worktops

Condos are often a challenge – can’t move water, venting has to remain connected to existing ducting and recessed cans may not be an option. In this project, we had an added challenge – we could not lower the ceiling on the exterior wall due to a continual leak issue that the HOA has put off due to the multi-million-dollar expense. DESIGN PHILOSOPHY: Work Centers: prep, baking, clean up, message, beverage and entertaining. Vignette Design: avoid wall to wall cabinets, enhance the work center philosophy Geometry: create a more exciting and natural flow ANGLES: the baking center features a Miele wall oven and Liebherr Freezer, the countertop is 36” deep (allowing for an extra deep appliance garage with stainless tambour). CURVES: the island, desk and ceiling is curved to create a more natural flow. A raised drink counter in Sapele allows for “bellying up to the bar” CIRCLES: the 60” table (seating for 6) is supported by a steel plate and a custom column (used also to support the end of the curved desk – not shown) ISLAND CHALLENGE: To install recessed cans and connect to the existing ducting – we dropped the ceiling 6”. The dropped ceiling curves at the end of the island to the existing ceiling height at the pantry/desk area of the kitchen.
