Hidden in this near westside neighborhood of modest midcentury ranches is a multi-acre back yard that feels worlds away from the hustle of the city. These homeowners knew they had a gem, but their cramped and dim interior and lack of outdoor living space kept them from the full enjoyment of it. They said they wanted us to design them a deck and screen porch; we replied, "sure! but don't you want a better connection to that luscious outdoor space from the inside, too?" The whole back of the house was eventually transformed, inside and out. We opened up and united the former kitchen and dining, and took over an extra bedroom for a semi-open tv room that is tucked behind a built-in bar. Light now streams in through windows and doors and skylights that weren't there before. Simple, natural materials tie to the expansive yard and huge trees beyond the deck and also provide a quiet backdrop for the homeowners' colorful boho style and enviable collection of house plants. This eclectic kitchen design in Mission Viejo-Lake View brings light into the space through a large window, which is then beautifully reflected in the mirror paneled pantry doors. The mirrors add depth and light to the space, giving the kitchen a bright, airy feel. Glass pendant lights, recessed lighting, and under- and in-cabinet lights complete the multi-layered lighting design. The Columbia Cabinetry recessed panel kitchen cabinets bring a traditional foundation to the kitchen design. White perimeter cabinetry includes glass front upper cabinets with in cabinet lighting, offering the perfect place to display dishes and glassware. This is beautifully contrasted by gray island cabinetry, all accented by Top Knobs cabinet hardware. The island incorporates seating for casual dining and an angled undercounter power strip. Full high ceiling tiles, open timber shelving, a mixture of timber laminate and concrete bench top surfaces, and an assortment of bar stools all contribute their own special character to this wonderful kitchen.

An eclectic mix of modern and vintage create a funky & fun retro kitchen in this Craftsman home. High gloss cabinets are paired with a wood veneer pantry-surround. Glazed ceramic tile brings in pistachio green and blue as well as texture and curved lines into the space. A vintage rug of red hues contrasts all the cool tones and finishes off the look with an eclectic pattern mix.

A boho kitchen with a "modern retro" vibe in the heart of Austin! We painted the lower cabinets in Benjamin Moore's BM 706 "Cedar Mountains", and the walls in BM OC-145 "Atrium White". The minimal open shelving keeps this space feeling open and fresh, and the wood beams and Scandinavian chairs bring in the right amount of warmth!

Full condo renovation: replaced carpet and laminate flooring with continuous LVP throughout; painted kitchen cabinets; added tile backsplash in kitchen; replaced appliances, sink, and faucet; replaced light fixtures and repositioned/added lights; selected all new furnishings- some brand new, some salvaged from second-hand sellers. Goal of this project was to stretch the dollars, so we worked hard to put money into the areas with highest return and get creative where possible. Phase 2 will be to update additional light fixtures and repaint more areas.

We took the main living spaces of this multi-level contemporary home and converted them into one large cathedral ceiling great room perfect for family gatherings and day to day living. With added features like the stainless steel railing system, Escher pattern mosaic backsplash and upgraded windows and lighting this new space feels modern and incorporates all the elements this family desired for their new home.
