This 1960s split-level home desperately needed a change - not bigger space, just better. We removed the walls between the kitchen, living, and dining rooms to create a large open concept space that still allows a clear definition of space, while offering sight lines between spaces and functions. Homeowners preferred an open U-shape kitchen rather than an island to keep kids out of the cooking area during meal-prep, while offering easy access to the refrigerator and pantry. Green glass tile, granite countertops, shaker cabinets, and rustic reclaimed wood accents highlight the unique character of the home and family. The mix of farmhouse, contemporary and industrial styles make this house their ideal home.
Outside, new lap siding with white trim, and an accent of shake shingles under the gable. The new red door provides a much needed pop of color. Landscaping was updated with a new brick paver and stone front stoop, walk, and landscaping wall.

Having a small island with seating was important for informal meals; and the GE Professional range was a must have for this couple who love to cook.

Subway tile splash over the soapstone countertop is exactly what the client wanted. Glass fronts in the uppers show off an extensive collection of dinner ware accumulated over years of travels to exotic locations

The kitchen renovation included re-configuring the space to open it up to the rest of the house. This eating area is surrounded by beautiful windows, however they radiate a great amount of heat. To reduce energy consumption, we installed Hunter Douglas Dual Roller Shades. The beauty of these shades is that both shades work independently. Black out for when the sun is at it's peak, and a semi-sheer shade for privacy. We added a decorative rod and stationary panels to soften the room and add elegance. Interior Design Waynesboro, PA

A clean white kitchen with black hardware and black pendants. Granite countertops and gray reflective tile mixed with the clear glass tile create a beautiful contrast with the natural wood floor.

For this kitchen remodel the couple wanted the space to be open, contemporary, and neutral to allow them to choose accessories with color and make the space more versatile.
