Hood Wall, left - you can see the handcrafted Subway Tile merging with the Diamond Tiles. This project was inspired by a fusion of: contemporary elements, farmhouse warmth, geometric design & overall convenience. The style is eclectic as a result. Our clients wanted something unique to them and a reflection of their style to greet them each day. With details that are custom like the hood and the ceramic tile backsplash, there are standard elements worked into the space to truly show off this couple's personal style. Eclectic style brings the homeowners personality throughout the kitchen, glass doors let them show off all their vintage finds and family heirlooms. The ceiling detail and pendants tie the room together beautifully.

Other Noteworthy Features and Solutions New crisp drywall blended with original masonry wall textures and original exposed beams Custom-glazed adler wood cabinets, beautiful fusion Quartzite and custom cherry counters, and a copper sink were selected for a wonderful interplay of colors, textures, and Old World feel Small-space efficiencies designed for real-size humans, including built-ins wherever possible, limited free-standing furniture, and no upper cabinets Built-in storage and appliances under the counter (refrigerator, freezer, washer, dryer, and microwave drawer) Additional multi-function storage under stairs Extensive lighting plan with multiple sources and types of light to make this partially below-grade space feel bright and cheery Enlarged window well to bring much more light into the space Insulation added to create sound buffer from the floor above

Here is a great example of how you can mix up styles: a dark grey handle-less kitchen, with minimal white quartz worktops is paired up with bright mustard yellow painted walls, a vinyl floor with a bold geometric design, and scaffolding boards act as open shelves on the walls.

We're extra-proud of this detail. All exposed edges of the tile are finished with glaze which gives a much-more polished look.
