Bilotta Kitchen & HomeFor this expansive kitchen renovation, Designer, Randy O’Kane of Bilotta Kitchens worked with interior designer Gina Eastman and architect Clark Neuringer. The backyard was the client’s favorite space, with a pool and beautiful landscaping; from where it’s situated it’s the sunniest part of the house. They wanted to be able to enjoy the view and natural light all year long, so the space was opened up and a wall of windows was added. Randy laid out the kitchen to complement their desired view. She selected colors and materials that were fresh, natural, and unique – a soft greenish-grey with a contrasting deep purple, Benjamin Moore’s Caponata for the Bilotta Collection Cabinetry and LG Viatera Minuet for the countertops. Gina coordinated all fabrics and finishes to complement the palette in the kitchen. The most unique feature is the table off the island. Custom-made by Brooks Custom, the top is a burled wood slice from a large tree with a natural stain and live edge; the base is hand-made from real tree limbs. They wanted it to remain completely natural, with the look and feel of the tree, so they didn’t add any sort of sealant. The client also wanted touches of antique gold which the team integrated into the Armac Martin hardware, Rangecraft hood detailing, the Ann Sacks backsplash, and in the Bendheim glass inserts in the butler’s pantry which is glass with glittery gold fabric sandwiched in between. The appliances are a mix of Subzero, Wolf and Miele. The faucet and pot filler are from Waterstone. The sinks are Franke. With the kitchen and living room essentially one large open space, Randy and Gina worked together to continue the palette throughout, from the color of the cabinets, to the banquette pillows, to the fireplace stone. The family room’s old built-in around the fireplace was removed and the floor-to-ceiling stone enclosure was added with a gas fireplace and flat screen TV, flanked by contemporary artwork.

down2earth Interior Design, LLC.This kitchen in Glenside, Pennsylvania is an instant classic. A herringbone mosaic backsplash in Carrara marble pairs with an excellent cabinet color: it can read blue, grey, or sometimes even a little bit green. We all want our kitchens to feel warm and welcoming so it may be counterintuitive to use a cool color on such a major visual element of the kitchen. The secret to our success here? Pairing it with rich walnut countertops and exposed brick in the kitchen. It also works well when paired with the dark oak cupboards, which were an original feature in the butler’s pantry. In that pantry space, open shelves store large casserole dishes, cookbooks, and drink bottles in a spot that used to be a cavity for a dumbwaiter but now serves as useful storage. We also made room for a little reclaimed desk, and the chair’s seat cushion sweetly coordinates with the kitchen window treatment.
Perhaps our favorite element of this kitchen interior is the elegant design of the glass-front cabinet to the left of the sink, which displays sparkly silver goblets. Slightly oversized polished nickel cup pulls and a nickel ceiling light pick on the silver on display and provide just that little bit of extra sparkle. Blue and white Chinese pottery adds a classic pop of a more saturated blue and a roman shade softens the window without cutting out too much light.
Camden Grace LLCMixed materials (granite/marble/brass/walnut) make this workhorse of a kitchen feel homey. With exposed beams, skylights, and a ten foot expanse of doors to the patio, the room feels roomy yet homey- just what the clients ordered.
UserThis kitchen underwent a complete transformation from mismatched units with little storage to a beautiful classic shaker style design with oak shelving and geometric tiling to give it that eclectic character the client loved.
Studio Z ArchitectureRedesigning and expanding the first floor added a large, open kitchen with skylights over the dual islands. A walk-in pantry provides much-needed space for storage and cooking.

The cabinets are finished with beautiful details including ice box hinges on selected cabinets and crown molding around the room perimeter. Inside the cabinets is a treasure trove of specialized storage including a pantry with roll out shelves, a peg drawer system for storing plates, a silverware drawer, and more. The stainless chimney hood complements the appliances and an undercounter refrigerator provides beverage storage. The attention to detail and personal touches throughout the space make this a one-of-a-kind kitchen design!
