The owner wanted to add a covered deck that would seamlessly tie in with the existing stone patio and also complement the architecture of the house. Our solution was to add a raised deck with a low slope roof to shelter outdoor living space and grill counter. The stair to the terrace was recessed into the deck area to allow for more usable patio space. The stair is sheltered by the roof to keep the snow off the stair.

Our clients' selected TimberTech composite decking in the Maritime Gray color. It’s the perfect contrast to the lighter siding on the home. For their deck railing, they selected Westbury black aluminum rail sections with white vinyl sleeves on the rail posts. For the deck skirting, we used the same TimberTech Maritime Gray decking used for the deck surface and steps.

The Deck and Patio renovation to Ravi's existing home is mostly driven by functionality. Ravi is a professional chef and avid gardner. His vision for the new deck was to have full space for entertainment and the only staircase the property can accommodate is a spiral one. He also needed a storage space of 4' x 8' for garden tools.

MASSIMO interiors
Massimo Interiors was engaged to style the interiors of this contemporary Brighton project, for a professional and polished end-result. When styling, my job is to interpret a client’s brief, and come up with ideas and creative concepts for the shoot. The aim was to keep it inviting and warm.
Blessed with a keen eye for aesthetics and details, I was able to successfully capture the best features, angles, and overall atmosphere of this newly built property.
With a knack for bringing a shot to life, I enjoy arranging objects, furniture and products to tell a story, what props to add and what to take away. I make sure that the composition is as complete as possible; that includes art, accessories, textiles and that finishing layer. Here, the introduction of soft finishes, textures, gold accents and rich merlot tones, are a welcome juxtaposition to the hard surfaces.
Sometimes it can be very different how things read on camera versus how they read in real life. I think a lot of finished projects can often feel bare if you don’t have things like books, textiles, objects, and my absolute favourite, fresh flowers.
I am very adept at working closely with photographers to get the right shot, yet I control most of the styling, and let the photographer focus on getting the shot. Despite the intricate logistics behind the scenes, not only on shoot days but also those prep days and return days too, the final photos are a testament to creativity and hard work.
Archadeck of Northeast Dallas
This deck was designed and built using TimberTech Pro from the Legacy Collection in the colorway of Mocha. It was the perfect complement to the ivory and brown Tudor color palette of the home.
And, as all of our Archadeck deck designs are custom and personalized to best fit the needs and wishes of the family that lives there, “one-of-a-kind” is definitely the way to go.
With sleek vertical lines, we chose a 36-inch tall black wrought iron railing. Without obstructing any views into the backyard vista, it now provides sturdy and dependable protection while the family and their friends enjoy their new outdoor living space.
Archadeck of Kansas City
This Kansas City covered deck features a beautiful hip roof, completed with tongue and groove ceiling finish, exposed beam, and electrical installation for a lighted fan. This covered deck also boasts a dramatic turned stair with expansive landing and custom pot belly balustrade throughout.

Construction of the deck’s beautiful stone veneer columns was more complex than you might think. Each column rests on a concrete pad, and we dug piers under the pads to ensure no movement of the stone veneer in the future. Then we built a wood frame for each column and applied the stone veneer. The homeowners chose Dutch Quality Stone. The color they selected is Sienna, and the specific pattern is Weather Ledge. The pillar caps are natural limestone with a smooth surface on top and a rock face finish around the edges.

Our clients knew they wanted low-maintenance decking for their new outdoor living space. They chose TimberTech decking in Maritime Gray. This is a darker gray color that provides a striking contrast to the home’s light-colored exterior. We wrapped the beams and posts in AZEK PVC in a light color to match the home’s exterior. For their deck railings, the homeowners selected black aluminum in the Georgian style from Preferred Railing Systems.

Archadeck - Columbus
Archadeck of Columbus designed the deck surface as two specific areas marked by a center parting board and decking boards running in different directions. In the dining area, with a grill, dining table and chairs, the boards run parallel to the house. In the lounging area, the boards run at an angle. This design creates a visual cue establishing two separate “rooms” on the deck, but the homeowners can always use the entire deck as one large space. It is the perfect setting for entertaining.
