This bedroom uses bright white and neutral colors, paired with eclectic, ethnic details to reflect the client’s travels and personal tastes. Woven wood blinds and a wicker ceiling fan set the backdrop for a black lacquered chair upholstered in an ethnic print. African night stands, foot stools and lamps, all from the client’s own collection, dovetail with the dark walnut hardwood flooring and zebra rug. A bench covered in grass textile sets off the African textile shams, sheer bedskirt and faux fur leopard blanket. The headboard is made of old African doors from the client’s own collection.

The girl’s bedroom is pretty in pink with this alan campbell wallpaper. Savannah stripe by Christopher Maya covers the headboard, available at Holland and Sherry. A juju hat over the headboard is a classic Christopher Maya touch that adds an elegant touch to any bedroom. In the girl's room, a desk and chair from Chelsea Editions adds a bit of country charm and artwork from Rifle Paper Co. adds a bit of whimsy to the room, accented over a green mid century dresser. Inspired by my client's love for the Middle East, we selected vibrant colorful, vivid prints mixed with various distinctive patterns to bring a unique space full of movement. Never a dull moment! Everything is custom-made and high-end. The wall panel is perfectly composed of fabric and wood - beautiful proportions and scale. Accent chairs make for an intimate reading nook. Custom wool draperies hang from a concealed decorative brass rod. Cotton bedding for ultimate comfort when resting. Such an invigorating space.

THE COMPLETE RENOVATION OF A LARGE DETACHED FAMILY HOME This project was a labour of love from start to finish and we think it shows. We worked closely with the architect and contractor to create the interiors of this stunning house in Richmond, West London. The existing house was just crying out for a new lease of life, it was so incredibly tired and dated. An interior designer’s dream. A new rear extension was designed to house the vast kitchen diner. Below that in the basement – a cinema, games room and bar. In addition, the drawing room, entrance hall, stairwell master bedroom and en-suite also came under our remit. We took all these areas on plan and articulated our concepts to the client in 3D. Then we implemented the whole thing for them. So Timothy James Interiors were responsible for curating or custom-designing everything you see in these photos OUR FULL INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICE INCLUDING PROJECT COORDINATION AND IMPLEMENTATION Our brief for this interior design project was to create a ‘private members club feel’. Precedents included Soho House and Firmdale Hotels. This is very much our niche so it’s little wonder we were appointed. Cosy but luxurious interiors with eye-catching artwork, bright fabrics and eclectic furnishings. The scope of services for this project included both the interior design and the interior architecture. This included lighting plan , kitchen and bathroom designs, bespoke joinery drawings and a design for a stained glass window. This project also included the full implementation of the designs we had conceived. We liaised closely with appointed contractor and the trades to ensure the work was carried out in line with the designs. We ordered all of the interior finishes and had them delivered to the relevant specialists. Furniture, soft furnishings and accessories were ordered alongside the site works. When the house was finished we conducted a full installation of the furnishings, artwork and finishing touches.

This bright bedroom features neutrals and white, beginning with the camel suede headboard draped in African beads and ultra camel-colored suede duvet, ivory sheer bedskirt. Faux fur animal print pillows and a zebra rug add an element of the exotic; the desk and chair are pieces passed down through the client’s family. Hand-blown wall sconces, woven wooden blinds, a wicker ceiling fan and a painted metallic silver chest finish out the room.
