OVERVIEW Set into a mature Boston area neighborhood, this sophisticated 2900SF home offers efficient use of space, expression through form, and myriad of green features. Bryan Jones Jones Pierce Architects This home in Waleska, Georgia feels like a tree house with building projections hanging in space high over the steep lot below. The use of large fixed windows makes the interior spaces feel as if they are part of the outside, and puts the focus on the view. We used a language of materials on the exterior with different finishes on the foundation, house body, and the room projections, and wanted the windows to stand out while fitting into the natural setting. The warm, dark bronze clad color chosen fit into the surrounding wooded setting, while at the same time provided a clean modern look similar to metal windows without looking excessively commercial.

The vision for the living room of this 1960's apartment in Milan was to create a design that reflected the character and age of the property. We kept some of the original features like the beautiful terrazzo floors and some of the existing pieces like the burgundy sofa and the original curtains, and chosen vintage furniture to add an elegant retro vibe, whilst keeping the free-flowing interiors light and airy. The artwork is an homage to surrealism and the 1970's orange TV brightens up the space with a splash of vivid colour against the shell-pink walls.
