Fun, eclectic, and dramatic dining room refresh with a couple struggling to combine their styles into one space. African masks from Ghana and a grandfather clock from England where the only two items that were orginally owned by the clients and both fit into the space wonderfully!

This client was inspired by mid-century design and wanted to incorporate a dramatic setting. We sourced all the furnishings, lighting and went with a bold, black accent wall.

Make the Smart Choice! Smart people pay attention to what matters. When people visit your home they won’t be impressed as easily, but they will notice shoddy furniture immediately. It’s human nature to find flaws and problems quicker than solutions. Whenever you enter a home, you look at the furniture. Sadly people often overlook a key piece which is dining chairs. And this thing can be a big problem once you actually sit on the chair. Most chairs look good but when you sit on them, they are actually quite uncomfortable. Imagine having guests over. They love your home and compliment you on your fine taste. When it comes to dinner, they approach the dining table and take their seats. And bam, they start fidgeting in their chairs. Uncomfortable dining chairs can ruin the best dinners and make your home look dull. With these fine dining chairs, you can avoid both a dull look and uncomfortable seats. Designed with a combo of stainless steel and bi-cast leather, these dining chairs provide an interesting design with the incorporation of arm rests. The chairs have a modern look over all and will definitely look great with any modern artsy looking dining table.

The flow of the dining room was improved by installing sliding french doors that fit with the of the architecture of the house and leave room to walk where the previous swinging door took up valuble space. Dark walls, silk drapes and wing back chairs at the head of the table strengthen the space. In a tiny house, storage is at a premium and the bookshelves were a perfect opportunity for a bar area to store both stemware and liquor bottles.

La filosofía de la bodega urbana Moderna Tradición parte de la recuperación de una actividad perdida en la ciudad que es la venta de vino procedente de la industria artesanal, es decir, de la elaboración y crianza del vino que históricamente se ha realizado en los calados de la ciudad. Su ubicación así es clave, ya que pone el acento en el Barrio de Bodegas de Logroño, un lugar de gran significado popular, donde tradicionalmente se elaboraba y comercializaba vino. Moderna Tradición es ahora un espacio que ocupaba una antigua imprenta, negocio al que se dedicaron varios locales de la calle posteriormente en la primera mitad del XX. Es un lugar céntrico y periférico al mismo tiempo, ya que está situado en el borde norte del casco antiguo, siendo el local más próximo al río Ebro. En su interior, podemos encontrar dos partes diferenciadas: La primera, tras el acceso, es la zona de degustación, claramente identificable por la presencia de los depósitos de acero inoxidable, la madera y el expositor de botellas, y al fondo, una segunda parte, la sala de catas que puede convertirse en comedor según las necesidades del momento. La cocina a la vista del público sirve como nexo de unión entre ambas.
