En el salón hay que aprovechar la máxima luz natural posible, por eso la situación del sofá es perpendicular a la ventana. Utilizamos un sofá de tres piezas con un tono neutro para dar el toque de color en un sillón amarillo. En el estilismo de cojines y mantas jugamos con ambos colores. Al ser el sillón el foco de atención la mesa de centro se utiliza una madera oscura que se asemeja más al color del resto de carpintería de madera de la vivienda. emmme studio

Previously living room was dark and long. That made it difficult to arrange furniture. By knocking down the walls around the living room and by moving chimney we gained an extra space that allowed us to create a bright and comfortable place to live.

For the living room of this apartment located in South Beach, I combined natural woods such as the organic teak chestnut coffee table and the dining chairs with soft linens on the furnishings and natural stone marble on the tables; and vintage accessories throughout the space. It was important for me to create a small dining area, so I placed the table a bit under the staircase, accentuated by the beautiful ceiling lamp that seems to float over the table and anchors the room. The large piece of art over the couch is by New York artist, Jody Morlock. It’s called “Tonic Immobility” referring to the shark character depicted in the painting. The piece was created to incorporate all the colors (blues–magentas–purple and yellows) used throughout the apartment, and it’s the focal point in the living room. This project was for a young professional who had no tolerance for clutter but boy does she love to read. From the first site visit, I had my heart set on the books she had. She loves colors and is not scared of them. Client from heaven… She rents a typical railroad house in Brooklyn and it came with its own challenges as far as laying out the space. I created three zones for her and right in the middle sits her throne to read her gazillion books. Photography by Daniel Wang. The design classic WOMB chair in a beautiful Chartreuse Felt with chrome legs is the main feature in the room againt backdrop of this amazing bookshelf styled by color.

This San Francisco pied-a-tier was a complete redesign and remodel in a prestigious Nob Hill hi-rise overlooking Huntington Park. With stunning views of the bay and a more impressive art collection taking center stage, the architecture takes a minimalist approach, with gallery-white walls receding to the background. The mix of custom-designed built-in furniture and furnishings selected by Hulburd Design read themselves as pieces of art against parquet wood flooring.

Aquí se puede apreciar la unificación de dos estancias que estaban separadas y presentaban dos espacios congestionados, que convertimos en una estancia mucho más amplia y de interacción entre las dos zonas. Así conseguimos una mayor comunicación para los habitantes de la vivienda y en ciertos momentos familiares, mayor espacio para disfrutar.

The entry, garage and guest suite are located on the first floor. and a suspended stair system in the entry gives access to the main floor. The first floor sits square to the frontage of the property but the second floor sit sat a twenty two and a half degree angle facing the sweeping ocean views, creating interesting ceiling treatments and unusual clerestory window systems in the home. Rénovation complète d'un studio, transformé en deux pièces en plein cœur de la principauté. La demande client était de transformer ce studio à l'aspect vieillot et surtout mal agencé (perte de place et pas de chambre), en un joli deux pièces moderne. Après un dépôt de permis auprès d'un architecte, la cuisine a été déplacée dans le futur séjour, et l'ancien espace cuisine a été transformé en chambre munie d'un dressing sur mesure. Des cloisons ont été abattues et l'espace a été réagencé afin de gagner de la place. La salle de bain a été entièrement rénovée avec des matériaux et équipements modernes. Elle est pourvue d'un ciel de douche, et les clients ne voulant pas de faïence ou carrelage ordinaire, nous avons opté pour du béton ciré gris foncé, et des parements muraux d'ardoise noire. Contrairement aux idées reçues, les coloris foncés de la salle de bain la rende plus lumineuse. Du mobilier sur mesure a été créé (bois et corian) pour gagner en rangements. Un joli bec mural vient moderniser et alléger l'ensemble. Un WC indépendant a été créé, lui aussi en béton ciré gris foncé pour faire écho à la salle de bain, pourvu d'un WC suspendu et gébérit. La cuisine a été créée et agencée par un cuisiniste, et comprends de l'électroménager et robinetterie HI-Tech. Les éléments de décoration au goût du jour sont venus parfaire ce nouvel espace, notamment avec le gorille doré d'un mètre cinquante, qui fait toujours sensation auprès des nouveaux venus. Les clients sont ravis et profitent pleinement de leur nouvel espace.
