For the living room of this apartment located in South Beach, I combined natural woods such as the organic teak chestnut coffee table and the dining chairs with soft linens on the furnishings and natural stone marble on the tables; and vintage accessories throughout the space. It was important for me to create a small dining area, so I placed the table a bit under the staircase, accentuated by the beautiful ceiling lamp that seems to float over the table and anchors the room. The large piece of art over the couch is by New York artist, Jody Morlock. It’s called “Tonic Immobility” referring to the shark character depicted in the painting. The piece was created to incorporate all the colors (blues–magentas–purple and yellows) used throughout the apartment, and it’s the focal point in the living room. Designed to showcase the owners' modern art collection, this high-rise condo is both sleek and functional. A band of steel travels from the kitchen backsplash, onto the ceiling and over to the living room's TV cabinet. The paintings are by Chris Ofili (left) and Christopher Wool (right). The lounge in the restaurant downstairs provides a cozy respite from the busy street. The directive from Rockwell Group was to make it feel like, "the inside of an old cigar box." We had planks milled for the walls with deep "V-grooves" and stained them a dusty brown. We bought Dwell Studios leather arm chairs, and Hans Wegner styled chairs to flank the 2 tree trunk tables. The rug is from ABC carpet, and is an over-dyed lavender oriental rug. The theme of browns, greys and pale purples prevails. Photo by Meredith Heuer.

A newly created stylish, Contemporary Formal Sitting Room / Living Room for our stylish clients family home. We proposed the total renovation of this sitting area, with all new contemporary floating fireplace design, and dropped down ceiling with John Cullen Lighting. The newly created 'dropped' ceiling allowed us to recess the elegant Home Automated Eric Kuster fabric curtains with concealed John Cullen LED lighting. Beautifully made elegant Curtains by our specialist curtain designers. The curtains have been designed on a Lutron Home Automation system allowing touch button opening and closing. All new Herringbone hardwood flooring throughout with under floor heating, and Bang and Olufsen Music / Sound System. Origninal contemporary Art Work and stylish Contemporary Furniture Design. The floating Fireplace is the now stylish focal point of this stunning room, which exudes luxury and style. When this client first reached out, her family had recently purchased a 1929 Tudor in Seattle and required bringing the vision she had for their front room to life. Her love of moody jewel tones and warm velvets made designing this space, later nicknamed “The Parlor,” so fun. It’s not often you see this style in the PNW, and we jumped at the chance to think outside the box. This home already had so much character, and it was essential to keep those details intact while also reinventing the space. We created a cozy yet moody vibe by painting all the walls and trims a deep teal blue. The vintage-inspired floral wallpaper bridged the gap between old and new. It wasn’t long after the parlor wrapped that our client came back wanting to rethink her entire kitchen situation. When our client purchased the home, there was a galley kitchen behind the parlor and beyond that was a post-build addition used as a dining and TV room. We decided the best use of space was to move the kitchen to where the dining and TV room lived and create the old galley kitchen into a “passthrough” space where the new TV area would be. It was only fitting to continue the bold use of color through these spaces – but this time, contrast with white walls to keep things light and bright. Add a show-stopping Lacanche range, rustic wood accents, and voila! A kitchen fit for a full-time mom who loves to cook, bake, and entertain! --- Project designed by interior design studio Kimberlee Marie Interiors. This dark, claustrophobic kitchen was transformed into an open, vibrant space where the homeowner could showcase her original artwork while enjoying a fluid and well-designed space. Custom cabinetry materials include gray-washed white oak to compliment the new flooring, along with white gloss uppers and tall, bright blue cabinets. Details include a chef-style sink, quartz counters, motorized assist for heavy drawers and various cabinetry organizers. Jewelry-like artisan pulls are repeated throughout to bring it all together. The leather cabinet finish on the wet bar and display area is one of our favorite custom details. The coat closet was ‘concealed' by installing concealed hinges, touch-latch hardware, and painting it the color of the walls. Next to it, at the stair ledge, a recessed cubby was installed to utilize the otherwise unused space and create extra kitchen storage. The condo association had very strict guidelines stating no work could be done outside the hours of 9am-4:30pm, and no work on weekends or holidays. The elevator was required to be fully padded before transporting materials, and floor coverings needed to be placed in the hallways every morning and removed every afternoon. The condo association needed to be notified at least 5 days in advance if there was going to be loud noises due to construction. Work trucks were not allowed in the parking structure, and the city issued only two parking permits for on-street parking. These guidelines required detailed planning and execution in order to complete the project on schedule. Kraft took on all these challenges with ease and respect, completing the project complaint-free!
