This contemporary kitchen design includes bar seating between the kitchen and living area. This peninsula is the perfect way to maximize use for storage and seating in the kitchen.

Transforming key spaces in a home can really change the overall look and feel, especially in main living areas such as a kitchen or primary bathroom! Our goal was to create a bright, fresh, and timeless design in each space. We accomplished this by incorporating white cabinetry and by swapping out the small, seemingly useless island for a large and much more functional peninsula. And to transform the primary bathroom into a serene sanctuary, we incorporated a new open and spacious glass shower enclosure as well as a luxurious free-standing soaking tub, perfect for ultimate relaxation.

Location: Bethesda, MD, USA We completely revamped the kitchen and breakfast areas and gave these spaces more natural light. They wanted a place that is both aesthetic and practical and we achieved this by having space for sitting in the breakfast space and the peninsulas on both sides of the kitchen, not to mention there is extra sitting space along the bay window with extra storage. When my clients purchased this charming 1940's home in the Seattle neighborhood of Wedgwood, they were amazed by how intact the original kitchen was. It was like a perfect time capsule. The color palette was avocado green and buttercream yellow. The highlights were an original retro built-in banquette and vintage oven! The challenge we faced (besides the awesome but dated finishes) was the closed floor plan typical in this era of homes and the lack of storage. So, we opened the kitchen to the adjacent dining and living room, bringing it up to speed with modern-day living. In opening it up, we also walled off a doorway that went from the kitchen to the hallway, but it was completely unnecessary and allowed us to gain an entire wall of cabinets that didn't exist previously. For the finishes, we kept it classic with mostly gray and white but brought in a little flare and interest with the herringbone backsplash and brushed brass finishes because who doesn't love a little gold? Also, we added color with the finishing details like the rug and countertop decor because those things are a great way to add interest and warmth to a space and can be easily changed when it's time for a fresh new look. --- Project designed by interior design studio Kimberlee Marie Interiors. This kitchen has a new layout which resulted in more organized storage and work space. A flush mounted ceiling hood give it an open feel. A custom baking center keeps like items in their proper place and accessible. Off white glazed cabinets and ogee edged quartz countertops make an elegant statement. A raised live-edge bar and beverage cooler make entertaining a breeze.

The kitchen got a total re-design with fresh finishes and more functional design. This kitchen is great for entertaining, just pop over to the side bar and pour yourself some wine or coffee. The island seats 6. We carefully planned the style to complement the homeowner's modern tastes, while keeping it soft to go with the home's traditional architecture.

Calacatta Capri is a new quartz slab that can transform any interior application. Calacatta Capri quartz features a stark white background with warm-colored narrow veins. The vein structure is very proportionate throughout the unit, which display's how far innovation and master craftsmanship has come in the engineering process of quartz slabs. Calacatta Capri is offered in large format and has a vein matching option to ensure that your countertops flow together seamlessly.

A few shades of grey, a splash of white, and a dark matte blue — this Chicago kitchen balances color beautifully. The hues are complemented with gorgeous modern decor like the statement mirror in the dining area, the pendant lamps over the island, and the intricate chandelier over the sleek metal and wood dining table. Our Seattle studio gave this dated family home a fabulous facelift with bright interiors, stylish furnishings, and thoughtful decor. We kept all the original interior doors but gave them a beautiful coat of paint and fitted stylish matte black hardware to provide them with that extra elegance. Painting the millwork a creamy light grey color created a fun, unique contrast against the white walls. We opened up walls to create a spacious great room, perfect for this family who loves to entertain. We reimagined the existing pantry as a wet bar, currently a hugely popular spot in the home. To create a seamless indoor-outdoor living space, we used NanaWall doors off the kitchen and living room, allowing our clients to have an open atmosphere in their backyard oasis and covered front deck. Heaters were also added to the front porch ensuring they could enjoy it during all seasons. We used durable furnishings throughout the home to accommodate the growing needs of their two small kids and two dogs. Neutral finishes, warm wood tones, and pops of color achieve a light and airy look reminiscent of the coastal appeal of Puget Sound – only a couple of blocks away from this home. Our clients, a family of five, were moving cross-country to their new construction home and wanted to create their forever dream abode. A luxurious primary bedroom, a serene primary bath haven, a grand dining room, an impressive office retreat, and an open-concept kitchen that flows seamlessly into the main living spaces, perfect for after-work relaxation and family time, all the essentials for the ideal home for our clients! Wood tones and textured accents bring warmth and variety in addition to this neutral color palette, with touches of color throughout. Overall, our executed design accomplished our client's goal of having an open, airy layout for all their daily needs! And who doesn't love coming home to a brand-new house with all new furnishings?

Our clients decided to take their childhood home down to the studs and rebuild into a contemporary three-story home filled with natural light. We were struck by the architecture of the home and eagerly agreed to provide interior design services for their kitchen, three bathrooms, and general finishes throughout. The home is bright and modern with a very controlled color palette, clean lines, warm wood tones, and variegated tiles.
