Long time clients who are "empty nesters" downsized from a larger house to this new condominium, designed to showcase their small yet impressive collection of modern art. The space plan, high ceilings, and careful consideration of materials lends their residence an quiet air of sophistication without pretension. Existing furnishings nearly 30 years old were slightly modified and reupholstered to work in the new residence, which proved both economical and comforting.

This kitchen was totally transformed from the existing floor plan. I used a mix of horizontal walnut grain with painted cabinets. A huge amount of storage in all the drawers as well in the doors of the cooker hood and a little bread storage pull out that is usually wasted space. My signature corner drawers this time just having 2 drawers as i wanted a 2 drawer look all around the perimeter.You will see i even made the sink doors "look" like 2 drawers. There is a designated cooking area which my client loves with all his knives/spices/utensils etc all around him. I reduced the depth of the cabinets on one side to still allow for my magic number pass through space, this area has pocket doors that hold appliances keeping them hidden but accessible. My clients are thrilled with the finished look.

We love the natural light this big window brings in to this space. The glass and natural wood on the cabinet uppers ties in the butcher block counter tops and adds contrast with the white bases and walls.

LA DEMANDE Pour leur projet de maison en construction, mes client ont souhaité se faire accompagner sur l'aménagement intérieur concernant le choix des couleurs et matériaux, en passant par les papiers peints. LE PROJET LA PIÈCE À VIVRE : À travers un fil conducteur assez contemporain mais avec une dominance boisée et quelques touches de couleurs, la pièce à vivre, ouverte sur la cuisine, est chaleureuse et conviviale. Un meuble bibliothèque sur mesure viendra arboré la télévision ainsi qu'un insert de cheminée visible également de côté depuis la salle à manger. Au coeur de la cuisine, un ilot central permettra de s'attabler pour un repas sur le pouce et de cuisiner en ayant un oeil sur la pièce à vivre. Les façades en bois apporte du caractère et de la chaleur et viennent ainsi contraster le plan de travail et faïence Rem Natural de chez Consentino. LA SALLE DE BAIN PARENTALE : Colorée et haut-de-gamme, un carrelage en marbre de Grespania Ceramica donne du cachet et l'élégance à la pièce. Le meuble vasque couleur terre cuite apporte la touche colorée. LA SALLE DE BAIN DES ENFANTS : Ludique et colorée, la salle de bain des enfants se la joue graphique et texturée.
