The Metropolitan kitchen is a striking example of contemporary minimalist design. Vanguard Plus Rift-cut Veneer is shown in two variations. The kitchen cabinets feature vertical wood grain with a Champagne finish, while the horizontal wood grain and Steel Grey finish on the media center complements its lighter counterpart. Countertops are a combination of steel and granite. Playing to the concept of clean, contemporary European styling, the Metropolitan Design Theme maintains a focus on the overall look of the space and the materials used. Photo credits: Guy Wenborne A relatively small site (400 m2) with big trees has been the main source of inspiration of this house. Decisions have been made to improve the relationship between the interior of the house and the garden, both in ground and upper level. Thus, the project conceives the landscape as a part of the house, and this garden is also a sustainable barrier that regulates the temperature inside (mainly deciduous trees). An open plan has allowed large perspectives. Wherever it was possible, sliding doors allow spatial fluidity while still allow some privacy. Natural materials (wood and stone) reinforce the connection with the garden.

Sea Arches is a stunning modern architectural masterpiece, perched atop an eleven-acre peninsular promontory rising 160 feet above the Pacific Ocean on northern California’s spectacular Mendocino coast. Surrounded by the ocean on 3 sides and presiding over unparalleled vistas of sea and surf, Sea Arches includes 2,000 feet of ocean frontage, as well as beaches that extend some 1,300 feet.
