Client is a young professional who wanted to brighten her kitchen and make unique elements that reflects her style. KTID replaced side cabinets with reclaimed wood shelves. Crystal knobs replace Dry Bar Drawer pulls.. KTID suggested lowering the bar height counter, creating a rustic vs elegant style using reclaimed wood, glass backsplash and quartz waterfall countertop. KTID changed paint color to a darker shade of blue. The pantry was enlarged by removing the wall between the pantry and the refrigerator and putting in a pantry cabinet with roll-out shelves.

Family was key to all of our decisions for the extensive renovation of this 1930s house. Our client’s had already lived in the house for several years, and as their four children grew so too did the demands on their house. Functionality and practicality were of the utmost importance and our interior needed to facilitate a highly organised, streamlined lifestyle while still being warm and welcoming. Now each child has their own bag & blazer drop off zone within a light filled utility room, and their own bedroom with future appropriate desks and storage. Part of our response to the brief for simplicity was to use vibrant colour on simple, sculptural joinery and so that the interior felt complete without layers of accessories and artworks. This house has been transformed from a dark, maze of rooms into an open, welcoming, light filled contemporary family home. This project required extensive re-planning and reorganising of space in order to make daily life streamlined and to create greater opportunities for family interactions and fun. We designed the open-plan kitchen diner with a medium size multi-functioning kitchen island, incorporating a breakfast bar with much-needed push-to-open storage units.

Modern kitchen by Wood-Mode 84 designed with a large seating area. Tall pantry area and cook area features the Vanguard Plus door style on Rough Sawn Euro Oak with the Oolong finish. Center area of cook area features Black Matte Glass. Dainty light pendants by Huddardton Forge fall over the island.

This three home project in Seattle was a creative challenge we were excited to tackle. The lot sizes were long and narrow, so we decided to create a compact contemporary space. Our design team chose light solid surface elements and a dark flooring for a warmer mix. Photographer: Layne Freedle

This kitchen was totally retro, complete with black and white checkerboard tiles, but we have upgraded it to a super functional, contemporary cooking and dining space.

Our lovely customer is an avid baker with three young children. Her previous kitchen, although large, had a very low breakfast bar that wasn't particularly usable or practical for friends and family. There was lots of dead and unused space and the family really wanted a unique space for the children to be included in the new kitchen. Our talented designer Anna created a peninsula in the centre of the kitchen where the children love hanging out while mum is busy in the kitchen. We've created functional storage, with specific areas for baking items, pots and pans, crockery, cooking utensils and oils and spices. The kitchen is fitted with two pantries including a Space Tower (internal drawer system by Blum) and an on bench pantry to house all of the bench top appliances.

Beautiful transformation from a traditional style to a beautiful sleek warm environment. This luxury space is created by Wood-Mode Custom Cabinetry in a Vanguard Plus Matte Classic Walnut. The interior drawer inserts are walnut. The back lit surrounds around the ovens and windows is LED backlit Onyx Slabs. The countertops in the kitchen Mystic Gold Quartz with the bar upper are Dekton Keranium Tech Collection with Legrand Adorne electrical outlets. Appliances: Miele 30” Truffle Brown Convection oven stacked with a combination Miele Steam and convection oven, Dishwasher is Gaggenau fully integrated automatic, Wine cooler, refrigerator and freezer is Thermador. Under counter refrigeration is U Line. The sinks are Blanco Solon Composite System. The ceiling mount hood is Futuro Skylight Series with the drop down ceiling finished in a walnut veneer. The tile in the pool table room is Bisazza Mosaic Tile with cabinetry by Wood-Mode Custom Cabinetry in the same finishes as the kitchen. Flooring throughout the three living areas is Eleganza Porcelain Tile. The cabinetry in the adjoining family room is Wood-Mode Custom Cabinetry in the same wood as the other areas in the kitchen but with a High Gloss Walnut. The entertainment wall is Limestone Slab with Limestone Stack Stone. The Lime Stone Stack Stone also accents the pillars in the foyer and the entry to the game room. Speaker system throughout area is SONOS wireless home theatre system.
