The Westward Ho kitchen is the best of both worlds, blending traditional style with modern design. The grain-visible Sandringham Pine fronts are the star of the show, concealing an enviable amount of storage including a corner larder and a concealed walk-through to the laundry room. The floating shelf above the sink is a spot equally perfect for herbs, personal trinkets, or unique wine glasses. The rich green of the Sandringham Pine contrasts beautifully against the modern white backdrop, creating a contemporary Shaker kitchen that is both stylish and functional. The breakfast bar in oak has been designed at table level, creating an inviting and comfortable spot to dine, socialise, and admire the view. The design also includes two fabulous larders with spice racks and drawers, one of which is kitted out as a coffee station.

Having worked on the bathroom in 2016 we were recently asked to look at the kitchen and to advice as to how we could extend into the garden without completely invading the space. We wanted to be able to "sit in the kitchen and still be sitting in the garden".

The island in this kitchen is designed to be used as a functional work space. A Zip tap and Perrin & Rowe mixer tap make the island a practical space to make drinks and prepare ingredients as well as to clean up. With the sofas in the room adjoined to the kitchen the orientation of the island makes it a very social space to prepare food.

This project was part of Channel Nine's 2019 TV program 'Love Shack' where LTKI collaborated with homeowners and renovation specialists Deanne & Darren Jolly. The 'Love Shack' is situated in the beautiful coastal town of Fingal on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. Dea & Darren transformed a small and dated 3 bedroom 'shack' into a stunning family home with a significant extension and redesign of the whole property. Let's Talk Kitchens & Interiors' Managing Director Rex Hirst was engaged to design and build all of the cabinetry for the project including kitchen, scullery, mudroom, laundry, bathroom vanities, entertainment units, master walk-in-robe and wardrobes. We think the combination of Dea's honed eye for colour and style and Rex's skills in spatial planning and Interior Design have culminated in a truly spectacular family home. Conception d’aménagements sur mesure pour une maison de 110m² au cœur du vieux Ménilmontant. Pour ce projet la tâche a été de créer des agencements car la bâtisse était vendue notamment sans rangements à l’étage parental et, le plus contraignant, sans cuisine. C’est une ambiance haussmannienne très douce et familiale, qui a été ici créée, avec un intérieur reposant dans lequel on se sent presque comme à la campagne.

Who said that a Burbank bungalow home needs to be doll and old fashioned. In this Burbank remodeling project we took this 1200sq. bungalow home and turned it to a wonderful mixture of European modern kitchen space and calm transitional modern farmhouse furniture and flooring. The kitchen was a true challenge since space was a rare commodity, but with the right layout storage and work space became abundant. A floating 5' long sitting area was constructed and even the back face of the cabinets was used for wine racks. Exterior was updated as well with new black windows, new stucco over layer and new light fixtures all around. both bedrooms were fitted with huge 10' sliding doors overlooking the green backyard.

There is something very elegant and refined about this kitchen. We call it ‘Modern European’ as its a modern handleless kitchen but distinctly different from a German Handless kitchen. The kitchen is a combination of a matt lacquer paint finish with a grey painted Oak. The centrepiece of the kitchen is a Caesarstone wrapped island running into a beautiful bespoke banquette in matching painted oak.
