Light floods this casual yet sophisticated contemporary Hamptons haven, with walls of windows allowing backyard views to dominate. White quartz countertops and pale flooring reflect light, even on overcast days. Bilotta Designer Doranne Phillips Telberg designed the flat panel doors with a horizontal grain pattern that leads the eye around the room, while the soft driftwood-toned finish complements the wooded site. Floating shelves on either side of the hood make everything visible and accessible, and provide a clear sightline to the open plan dining and living areas. The efficient layout positions the main sink in the 10’ waterfall island facing the scenery, opposite the 48” professional range. Two paneled dishwashers make quick work of cleanup. Anchoring the work triangle are integrated fridge and freezer columns, paneled to be indistinguishable from the pantry on the left. A microwave drawer sits adjacent to the refrigeration. A covered deck steps away means you’ll never be stuck indoors when it rains, and the fire pit assures outdoor living in all but the harshest weather. A wet bar with a beverage refrigerator is strategically located next to the sliding glass door, facilitating service. Another convenience is the folding window that opens out to the deck for easy delivery of food and drinks to guests. A few years back we had the opportunity to take on this custom traditional transitional ranch style project in Auburn. This home has so many exciting traits we are excited for you to see; a large open kitchen with TWO island and custom in house lighting design, solid surfaces in kitchen and bathrooms, a media/bar room, detailed and painted interior millwork, exercise room, children's wing for their bedrooms and own garage, and a large outdoor living space with a kitchen. The design process was extensive with several different materials mixed together.

The brief for this kitchen was to update the customers existing kitchen, to create a more contemporary seamless design with clean lines. The client wanted the space to be modern, but still homely and warm which was achieved with the cashmere coloured units and wood veneer doors to the larder style pantry unit.

It is all in the details! I worked hard with Heidi Fusik Interiors and the homeowner to make the most of this small space. Behind these beautiful 3 ply bamboo doors there is a space for everything including trash and recycling, spices, cutting boards and sheet pans, pots, pans, plates and even the cat food! Kitchen renovation project. Updated cabinets and installed new high-end appliances. Galley kitchen with maple cabinets. Installed a bar fixed behind the worktop to hang spices and small food containers on to shelves to clear the worktop. Undercabinet lighting provides ample adequate lighting to illuminate the worktops.
