Our clients in East Horsley had a vision for their new home, which involved a lot of research and planning as they undertook significant works. To create their new home, they chose to gut the property from top to toe, including updating electrics and plumbing, as well as adding a large rear extension to create a new open plan kitchen area. To create the light, bright and open space in the new kitchen, the extension features 2 sets of bifold doors on adjacent walls, allowing our clients to completely open up almost 6metres of wall space and enjoy the free flow access onto the garden and flood the room with fresh air and light. As well as the two sets of FD85® bifold doors, additional light was created in the kitchen by the addition of a large modular Pure Glass Flat Roof Light. With its minimal, sleek frame and aluminium beams, the Pure Glass Flat Roof Light creates a breath-taking centrepiece. Our clients matched the anthracite grey frame of the bifold doors for continuity between their glazing in the extension. This modern gloss and concrete kitchen allows the family to all to spend time together without feeling on top of each other or cramped. The large island provides ample preparation space and also seating, creating the perfect multi-purpose space.

The space was clad in stained oak custom cabinetry and a white veined marble. We sourced encaustic tile for floors to channel a Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic that exudes both modernism and tradition.

We installed a beautiful apex skylight to maximise light. Integrated appliances, and units in a dark grey finish give the space a clean, contemporary and sophisticated look.

Recent renovation of an open plan kitchen and living area which included structural changes including a wall knockout and the installation of aluminium sliding doors. The Scandinavian style design consists of modern graphite kitchen cabinetry, an off-white quartz worktop, stainless steel cooker and a double Belfast sink on the rectangular island paired with brushed brass Caple taps to coordinate with the brushed brass pendant and wall lights. The living section of the space is light, layered and airy featuring various textures such as a sandstone wall behind the cream wood-burning stove, tongue and groove panelled wall, a bobble area rug, herringbone laminate floor and an antique tan leather chaise lounge.

Featuring custom wood cabinetry and a quartz stone top, the centre island is the focal point of the kitchen. The stove is integrated into the island, with a top of the range extractor in the ceiling. All of the ceiling lights are dimmable, including the recessed LEDs and the downlights. Large sliding doors in the kitchen/dining room open to a paved patio and garden with a water feature.
