Our client purchased this 1960s home in it’s near original state, and from the moment we saw it we knew it would quickly become one of our favourite projects! We worked together to ensure that the new design would stick to it’s true roots and create better functioning spaces for her to enjoy. Clean lines and contrasting finishes work together to achieve a modern home that is welcoming, fun, and perfect for entertaining - exactly what midcentury modern design is all about! The kitchen was made by "Leinster Kitchens" in a natural oak finish. The kickboard is dark to contrast with the flooring. The worktop from " Granite tops" provides a strong, sturdy presence and works really well with the dark colour in adjoining sitting room.

This kitchen design incorporates beautiful materials, sleek contemporary lines, and a well-planned layout to create a space that is as beautiful as the coastal view. The open plan design incorporates the kitchen separated from the living area by a peninsula, the adjacent dining area with a beverage bar, and a pantry with customized storage. The kitchen remodel incorporates Bosch appliances throughout, a Faber custom hood insert, and a Fagor undercabinet wine refrigerator in the beverage bar. The main cabinetry is Masterbrand Diamond Vibe flat panel cabinets in a warm wood finish, accented by Luxury Line Extra White finish cabinetry for the beverage bar. A walk-in pantry features white cabinetry with glass front upper cabinets for displaying glassware, and built-in shelves for extra storage. This kitchen design is the perfect place to prepare favorite meals in a well organized kitchen, and relax with family and friends all while appreciating the surrounding coastal view. his modern new build located in the heart of Burnaby received an entire millwork and countertop package of the utmost quality. The kitchen features book matched walnut, paired with white upper cabinets to add a touch of light in the kitchen. Miele appliances surround the cabinetry. The home’s front entrance has matching built in walnut book matched cabinetry that ties the kitchen in with the front entrance. Walnut built-in cabinetry in the basement showcase nicely as open sightlines in the basement and main floor allow for the matching cabinetry to been seen through the open staircase. Fun red and white high gloss acrylics pop in the modern, yet functional laundry room. This home is truly a work of art!

The owners wanted to take advantage of their views, add more natural light, increase storage, and have the kitchen function more efficiently. From dark and feeling closed-in, it was transformed to open, inviting and a place they enjoy every day. All the wall cabinets were removed and a bank of three tall windows were added for more light and ventilation. After a new layout was designed, materials and finishes were selected. The first thing that is noticed when you walk into the room is the wall behind the range. The large expanse is very unique, like a work of natural art. When viewed it can look like waves or patches of clouds. The wall is a full slab of Dekton. The color is inspired by the industrial look of oxidized steel, with shades of grey, brown and black with metallic effects. Mixed woods and stains were used for the cabinets. Storage was maximized, each drawer and cabinet have a function. The island is a perfect landing spot for groceries, meal prep or a buffet. Floating shelves add and open look. The elegant banquette was custom built for the space. It has a slanted back for comfort and with styled legs it keeps it airy and light. The “L” shape optimizes the space and created a natural conversation spot and view of the water. The kitchen has French doors that access an expansive deck, perfect for entertaining. The space was designed for this active couple making it a place to entertain and live everyday with joy.

A beautiful handcrafted provenance by piqu Kitchen with bespoke detailing that our skilled carpenters brought to life in our workshop in Orpington.​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ The solid framed oak cabinets have been left in their natural state and finished simply with oil to create a warm and inviting kitchen space. The decorative panels on the feature kitchen island have been painted in Pleat from the Little Greene Paint Company. Dekton Rem work surfaces and a full height splashback coupled with open shelving and brass accent features complete this spacious and welcoming Kitchen.​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​

This semi detached property was lived in by the clients family since it was built in the 1970s. The brief was to create a space suitable for contemporary life whilst respecting the rich character of this home. Key items such as the brightly coloured sanitaryware and original built-in furniture were carefully set aside for reuse in the project. The challenge was not to find more space but to get the existing house working better for our client. The works were restricted to the footprint of the existing dwelling. The ground floor was opened up by moving the bathroom to the front of the house, creating a large bright living space overlooking the park to the rear of the property. The original parlour and master bedroom were re-instated in all of their original 1970’s glory. A playful exterior comprising of green timber screening and handmade tiles is contrasted by exposed timber joists and subtle natural finishes internally.
